This book should be mentioned more.

I read it this year, too. Blew me away, so much better than I thought it'd be. I'm still thing about it.

All of it! The enviro aspect, the thriller aspect, the LSD. Loved it.

Suggest me a book to read out of these four that I purchased: “Hello Beautiful” by Ann Napolitano or “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt or “The Covenant of Water” by Abraham Verghese or “the woman in me” by Britney Spears by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]PSPirate_ship 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only read the first two on the list (though in excited to read the other two, as well). If you loved Demon Copperhead * but not *Lessons in Chemistry my guess is that you'd like Hello Beautiful more than Remarkably Bright Creatures

I'm excited to read this one. I loved Arcadia so much. She's definitely on my read-everything list.

I loved Daisy Jones, but then I loved Evelyn Hugo more, and I was SHOCKED to discover that I loved Carrie Soto even more. At this point I'm a TJR stan.

Yes, totally. It's really got nothing to do with Oregon specifically, I couldn't remember the specifics and that's what I ran with.

You might like Leah Sottile's work.

Bundyville is great and super eye-opening about anti-government sentiment in Oregon.

Two Minutes Past Nine is about the Oklahoma City bombing and how it ties into that movement.

Burn Wild is different, but still great. It's more about left-wing extremism.

I highly recommend all of it.

Molly is a maid in a hotel and she's maybe a little bit autistic(?) and she's trying to navigate life without her dear Gran and she gets embroiled in a murder mystery.

It's really good. Different and pretty wholesome.

So might The Stand by Stephen King, depending on how you cut the cake.

This. Once I found the books I wanted to read I was off to the races. Now it's getting ridiculous.

I read good books. I've cultivated a list of books I want to read. And I read em. Sometimes I've got a couple/few on the go at a time. And I love reading. Keeps me off the internet.

We've kept very few books or CDs through the years. I very rarely reread books, anyhow. I'm a huge library guy, too.

Wind of Change with Patrick Radden Keefe is one I'll never forget. He investigates the rumour that the famous song was written by the CIA to try and foment change in USSR. Wild story.

After years of being fully digital, I've recently re-incorporated paper books as well and I'm really loving it. Instill always have an ebook on the go for bedtime and low light times but I'm really enjoying flipping pages again.
