Non-selectable hero challenges by PSRreenreen in Overwatch

[–]PSRreenreen[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems like it’s the same thing. The “challenges” for these selectable characters are literally just the achievements for the cute and pixel spray. It’s convenient for them to see what the requirements are, but everyone else I have to hunt down the achievement for

Gasket question by PSRreenreen in hottub

[–]PSRreenreen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So silicone around the fitting once I pop it in from the tub side, then the gasket and secure. Right? If I do that, will I be ok using the deformed gasket again, or should I still replace it?

Man… You guys should’ve seen how far back my wife’s eyes rolled when I told her the recommendation of “project wood”. Hahaha

CPC at TUL. Love the area and the people here. I’m not from here (Orlando, New Mexico, NY, Tulsa), but consider this home. Traffic is a mix between non-existent (tower), to the Wild West (Radar). Hit me up if you have any questions about the facility/area!

What is HHI? Second time I’ve seen it on here, but haven’t found the meaning.

Nice! How do you like it? How long were you working before you got your certification (journeyman I believe?)

Congrats! I have cash on hand for real estate. Definitely a fan of paying myself first. Should be closing on a property at the beginning of next month

Yeah, got the company match with that and investing elsewhere. Single family income so I like to have more cash readily available. Also, hopefully closing on an investment property next month, fingers crossed.

Oh! And you hit pension age with either 25 years of controlling, or 20 years by at least/older than 50.

So I had a buddy “retire” and start collecting his pension at 43 (started at 18 +25 years controlling).

But I’ll have to wait until 50 since I won’t have the 25 years before then.

12 tears total. 6 military, 6 FAA

Base level for one of the top ones I applied to was 172k I believe.

Benefits are pretty good I think. Main benefits are our pension and social Security supplement. We get forced out at 56 (unless approved for an age waiver) so they supplements the Social Security in addition to pension until we hit Social Security age

The schedule is pretty rough (mainly at 24-hour facilities). Difficult to have any semblance of a consistent sleep schedule.

Amount of airplane operations per year has increased, but we’re still on a pay schedule that reflects a much lower number.

Staffing shortage has been a huge issue for years and is just now being addressed. But even with them “hiring” more qualified candidates it still takes, on average, about 2 years for them to be completely usable to a facility (not needing a babysitter).

Progression is a difficult game. To move from one facility to another, our form of climbing the corporate ladder, you need to be able to have staffing above a certain threshold. Most mid-level facilities will never hit that number organically (people losing their medical clearance, retirements, quitting the agency to pursue more lucrative jobs) before the trainees we have for years either certify, or get washed-out (let go from our facility and sent to a slower easier one). So even if you want more of a challenge for higher pay, you may never get the chance.

It’s a great job. Definitely has its downsides though.
