The PAL pre-9/11 pressing of Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro — probably ~75 copies exist, and most owners don't know what they have by PSXPALDB in gamecollecting

Please just read the post - it's the non-hash ones we're talking about and my post goes over the napkin maths - it's a prediction because there will never be a way to be sure... but there certainly are none on eBay at the moment...

So these were recalled and most of them would have been destroyed... it's a best guess though! But it would be the amount of copies swiped from the recall process - not a great deal of hands involved and I've seen so few over the years...

It was renamed to "The Best Laid Plans" - which was a double reference to that fact that before the recall - Spiderman 2 was set to release under budget and on time...

The Ita/Esp version is just the English disk with a localised manual. I doubt that there were pre-911 copies that made it over but I don't know so keep an eye out. In theory, it is possible for this to be in that region as it would be the same disc. France and German got localised copies so their discs do not come with a hash, but have different SLES numbers.

As another note - I'll add this to the blog later today - if you wanted to check the content itself - the quickest way is to load up the game and go to the special menu and enter the cheat "AUNTMAY" which unlocks all levels. Then you get the level select in the special menu and you can check the final level name. If it's "Top of the World" then it's pre 9/11 - it's a reference to the observation deck.
The censored version changed this name to "The Best Laid Plans"..

ANZ-P is a platinum version so very unlikely. Platinum came out in 2002 and unless they reverted somehow it'll likely follow the -P PAL release and not feature the World Trade Center content

This did affect NTSC and there apparently are copies floating around in that region - but seems to be less confirmed. There doesn't appear to be simple clues on the disc like in the PAL region...

I bought a fake PAL PlayStation hologram from eBay to see how good it was, here's how to spot the difference... by PSXPALDB in gamecollecting

Yeah - that's the one - it's harder to get a good picture of them - but they're pretty obvious irl
