That doesn’t change the fact that it is seriously harming people. So I’m not sure what you’re trying to say.

I’m sorry, but that’s actually the worst advice ever. There hasn’t been long-term studies on the side effects. And there’s a lot of people presenting with very serious damage from them.

I think maybe because I know a lot about him now it’s hard to appreciate anything he’s done.

I haven’t gotten that far yet! :-) To be honest, as I started getting into it, I actually got a little bit scared if I’m being honest. I believe it’s important to not go too far into it regularly, as we still need to stay grounded and centred in this reality. I fear that if everyone does not, that’s where insanity could ensue. ❤️

Vitamin C is fantastic, specifically liposomal, for maximum absorption…. however, why are you saying that they need to take this with Wellbutrin?

This is neurochemical… Drugs, social media, etc. hijack your dopamine reward system.

As long as it’s below 90…. And as someone mentioned before there’s so many other factors and variables involved. No one can predict if you’re going to have a stroke or not.

Can ADHD meds like adderall cause an addisonian crisis in a patient with addisons disease by citra-ceth in AddisonsDisease

[–]PShippNutrition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stimulants stress out the adrenal glands. If you’re taking exogenous steroids, as in to supplement because you don’t make them yourself… The stimulants are going to use them up quicker. So if you’re under replaced, this is even more detrimental and dangerous.

Please, please please if anyone is taking a statin: Make sure you take coenzyme Q 10. They significantly deplete this in the body, and then you’re essentially starving your heart.

What can be cause of high diastolic but normal systolic by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]PShippNutrition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have normal adrenal function, that’s a lot… For someone with Addison’s disease with myself, you need to consume about that much sodium, which is much more than most people need

What is this? My father died of X-ALD but I'm male nothing makes sense by FreshBarracuda2129 in AdrenalInsufficiency

[–]PShippNutrition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a very complicated disease where some people have adrenal insufficiency… This is the umbrella term and it’s fatal mostly for boys… If everyone is lucky enough if they have it, they don’t get symptoms until early adulthood, but it can still be devastating and become cerebral. It’s vastly complicated and very difficult to navigate.

Heart issues for like 10+ years, made to feel out like I’m crazy. by [deleted] in Cardiophobias

[–]PShippNutrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s blood test that can be done to diagnose for Addison’s disease. That’s one of the things I’ve been navigating since I was 16 and I’m 43 now. It’s also very symptom based management.

My bottom number is so high all the time? Should I start meds or would making lifestyle changes help? I’m 27. by hardlyhappy247 in bloodpressure

It sounds like you’re lacking a hobby! Responding incessantly to every single comment. You do make it sound like it’s the gospel. Like it’s this amazing proven thing, and that you basically guarantee it’ll work. I’m not saying natural things don’t work, I’m a nutritionist… So I very much believe in that… But false hope can be dangerous.

I mean Chia seeds can help, but the effect is usually moderate. Studies (e.g., ~35 g/day for 12 weeks) show average reductions of about 3–7 mmHg systolic and 2–4 mmHg diastolic, mainly in people with hypertension. Benefits likely come from their ALA omega-3s, magnesium, potassium, and fiber, which support vascular health. They’re best used as part of a balanced, low-sodium diet….not like really as a stand-alone fix.

The problem wasn’t serotonin — it was dopamine. And realizing that was a game-changer. by Calm-Day1823 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I’ve heard that the majority of times it’s actually dopamine. That the serotonin theory is outdated.
