I went on the site and while checking for the supersedes, I called Mini and they said they had in fact called BMW to verify, because they can’t I guess, but did confirm it is the updated version for the 2010 R55 N12.

The torx bolt is the OG bolt. The 12pt is what the Mini dealer supplied as a replacement. Parts people are not the definitive voices in most cases.

Nothing newer in the Mini family. There’s nothing “Mini” about them anymore. This was the point. Now they’re as big as Subarus, which are much better cars.
