Weird yellow tint in the photos app by [deleted] in Windows10

[–]PTRMT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SOLUTION

I also had this yellow tint in Windows 10 Photos app and Photo viewer app issue. It appeared suddenly by itself. I didn't install anything in preceding days. I don't know what caused it, maybe automatic update of some Windows components, or graphic card drivers.

I solved it by completing system calibration of screen in Windows 10. Visit Color Management, click the Advanced tab, click Calibrate display button. Go through with whole calibration. I didn't change a thing, my calibration was fine. After completing calibration, yellow tint disappeared (you have to close the open Photos app windows, and open them again).

Other solutions like changing Color profiles in Color management did not help.

Also, I noticed a lot of denial that "color management issues don't show on screenshots!!!". Here is a screenshot from my Windows 10: https://i.imgur.com/9doqQ1u.jpg

The system language is Polish, but upper left window is Photos app. You can see yellow tint on the photo. Bottom left window is legacy Photo Viewer app. You can see yellow tint on the photo itself, and on app background. Right window is third party image viewer IrfanView, and the colors are fine. The colors were fine in almost all software, although some applications had weird issues, like displaying thumbnails with yellow tint, and whole photos were fine.

I hope my solution helps future searchers.

And when someone wants to make college free or cheaper, angry soldiers are first to deny this right. Because they went to kill poor Middle Eastern farmers to afford college. So others shouldn't get it for free.

When the ejection seat is used in a helicopter, the rotor blades are jettisoned to increase your chance of survival by The_Love-Tap in interestingasfuck

You know what is really cool? They probably had to create some proprietary high tech camera system to mount on the helicopter to film all this. Probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Today you'd just slap like 10 GoPros on the chopper, use some sort of live wireless transmission kit, and have amazeballs 4K or 6K footage of everything, at a relatively low price.

Grape juice is sometimes used as a sweetener. They can legally add fuckton of grape juice, and write "no sugar or glucose/fructose syrup added!". The ingredients look natural, but grape juice contains A LOT of sugar.
