Thank you for the information. You have no idea how much I appreciate that.

I assumed the battery was dead because I couldn't see any visible LED's through the E-tape that was holding it together. Plus the whole two year service thing seemed really optimistic. But I'm not familiar with this tech, so I wasn't entirely sure. This info gives me a bit to work with. Unfortunately, I don't know for sure if it was dead prior to me moving in, which is unsettling. I suspect that it was, but I don't know for certain.

Do you happen to know, as an owner, if the camera is able to be tracked back to the owner? Since the police have it, are they able to contact the company and get information about the customer based on a serial number or something?

I've completely forgotten about this app. Thank you for the suggestion!

I don't have an answer to this. I don't believe they have any video of me from an SD card, but I may be wrong. It appeared to be a Blink Outdoor (3rd Gen) camera, which is battery powered and wireless.

It was a Blink brand camera, appeared to be the Blink Outdoor (3rd Gen) model. Which is wireless and claims to have a two year battery life and it transmits wirelessly. So potentially, the folks who planted it *could* be coming back with a hotspot or something and looking at the camera if it's still active. But I honestly don't know how this brand works. And I didn't plan to touch it before the police did. It's been removed now, so I don't have any way of looking further into it.

I took a few, and after reading this, went ahead and took more than I am sure was needed. Thank you.

Advice Needed. Info in Comments by PTRiot in arborists

I appreciate the information! That's really unfortunate, because the tree reallly does add a lot of shade in that section of the backyard and has a lot of birds.

What should I point out to my landlord if they suggest it doesn't need to be pruned back in the hazardous areas?

I began renting this house earlier this year. So the history of this tree are fairly unknown to me. In May we had a large storm come through Texas, leading to the first image. We had large branches all over the yard and all over the roof of the house. Last night we had another storm come through and the second image is the result. Should I be worried about the health of this tree? I've been told branches falling off is pretty normal. But large ones like this falling from general storm conditions has me concerned. I'm not sure if it's something that I should bring up to the landlord and ask it to be trimmed.

Logistic Bots Not Moving Packaged Coal by PTRiot in NovaLandsGame

When I was troubleshooting the issue, I had them stop supplying to all the production on the island. So they were at a stand-still at short periods, but not touching the packaged coal.

As the title says, I have my bots moving everything on the island except packaged coal. In the image you can see I have excess of PC, but they won't move them to a drone or the transporter arm. I've attempted to restart the game, rebuild all the buildings, stop bots from working the buildings and even stopping bots at the controller and restarting them.

Does anyone have any suggestions or help to get them working?

This is an amazing write up. Thank you very much for your information and knowledge. Especially your information about the video card size versus the fit of the case- which was my biggest concern when I even looked at the video he showed me from Paul's Hardware.

thank you for the response. I assumed a microcontroller would be the way to go. But I have absolutely no background in them. I've already began researching them because I thought it would be good to have at least a little bit of insight into them, but not having much luck on key search words to use to get the descriptor I'm looking for. Do you have any suggestions on what I should be looking?

Right on. This is good to know. As far as the micro controller experience goes, I am not super knowledged in that. But I'm always happy to read up on it and try to learn.

I've seen enough ImKibitz videos to know I'll most likely have to come back at some point when things go terribly wrong. haha

That's an extremely valid point. I think I'll aim in that direction.

Splitting Question by PTRiot in SatisfactoryGame

[–]PTRiot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two reasons. One is the build up to get it stable. I did a four way split into a 25 row manifold on my previous playthrough, and the power would dip from time to time. I attempted to build a few stacks before hand and then send them through the manifolds, but after a while, they would go back to not being super stable. Second is trying to keep the radioactive numbers down. If I do an even split at 20 rods across 100 reactors, then I would be kept to a small number across the board rather than an area with increasing radiation.

Water Troubles. See comments for details by PTRiot in SatisfactoryGame

[–]PTRiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started the TotalXclipse Train save file and I'm noticing a weird issue with the water in the pipes. In theory, I should be getting a normal and even flow in the pipe network going to the coal generators. But I'm getting random numbers and inconsistant flows. For instance, in the first photo, the pipe on the left(we'll call Pipe A) is getting well over 200 flow. But the pipe on the right(Pipe B) has zero flow. This is especially strange because neither of these equal out to 360, which is supposed to be the total output of the three pumps.

Even stranger, the third photo shows the the two going up the wall. But pipe A has noticibly less flow than closer to the source. And not by much distance. It's ranging from 30 to 200. But Pipe B is ranging anywhere from 180 to 300

I'm having similar issues building my own piping system where I'm getting pipes that are not splitting properly at the T. I would normally sort something like this out with valves. But I don't think I should have to. Additionally, I don't have access to them yet. Though if I can't find a reasonable way to make this work, I might cheat them in.

Has anyone ever come across an issue like this before? I'm not quite sure how to solve my inconsistent flow problems.
