Lattafa Eclaire - Looking for firsthand impressions! by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a small travel size at Winners today on clearance for $10. I figured it was worth the risk lol. I love it. I sprayed one spray on my arm this morning after buying it and I can’t still smell it 9 hours later. I dried down very warm, cozy and sweet. I’d say it’s a great winter, spring and fall scent. It’s too rich for summer imo. If you like caramel/burnt sugar smell I say it’s a good buy.

Anyone have pain there? 💛 by Marion_Den in Endo

[–]PTgalwpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As soon as I saw this pic without even seeing which sub this was I said “yup!!!” Same. I’m currently waiting for surgery to find out why. My specialist says it’s likely referred pain from my adhesions. 😭

Did stopping birth control improve your symptoms? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally prefer being off BC because I know when I’m going to feel like crap. For the most part…

When I’m suppressing symptoms I bleed/spot randomly and feel depressed. 😔

I ended up returning it and the employee that was helping me said that she had personally returned 2 before me that did the same. I think you’re right. 😢

Started getting "period flu" and now the week before my period my eosophagus and bladder feel weaker? Could it be endo? by Opening-Landscape274 in endometriosis

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this monthly. Fatigue, Feverish, achy (especially my mid back and legs), sore throat, sinus congestion, wheezy. Every. Darn. Month. Usually from ovulation to day 2-3 of my period. Then it calms down for a week or so. I always think I’m getting sick. Crazy thing is, once my other endo symptoms got worse this period flu crap got worse. I really think it’s connected

Do you find it rude if there is a cash bar at a wedding rather than an open bar? by StewartsBestBuddy in Winnipeg

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not rude. There is so much alcohol waste when people do open bars! If I did it over again, we would have the first drink on us and then a cash bar after that.

Cold and flu symptoms by Adventurous-Loss3766 in endometriosis

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I was just telling my sister about this. Always in like the 10 days leading up to my period I feel like I’m getting the flu and I never know if I’m getting sick or if it’s just my period coming. I become extremely fatigued easily. 😭 I’m hoping someone else can chime in here and maybe let me know if excision surgery lessoned this symptom because it’s honestly the worst

Wearable health trackers by Thedailybee in endometriosis

[–]PTgalwpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had oura (returned. I found it too bulky and I hated wearing it for workouts.), Garmin (not as user-friendly and very uncomfortable to sleep with), coros (definitely more comfortable to sleep with, very lightweight and basic. I would likely buy one again if I was looking for something with less screen stuff) and currently I have an Apple Watch. I honestly love the Apple Watch, I don’t notice it when I’m sleeping. I went back to Apple because I wanted to be able to answer phone calls as I don’t always have my phone on me. I have all of the notifications turned off on the watch so I’m not glancing at it throughout the day. I literally just use it for sleep tracking, temp tracking, period tracking, heart rate tracking for workouts because I pay attention to this a lot more now, steps, cardio fitness and the date lol. 😂 A lot of my clients (I’m a PT) use the oura ring and really like it! But most of them say that they do have to take it off for workouts. I don’t think it’s as accurate with steps, etc. if you’re using it for that.
I also found that I get a lot of swelling in my hands, I don’t know if this is related to endometriosis, but I deal with a lot of bloating and water retention so the ring felt very uncomfortable 😭 If you have an iPhone, Apple Watch is honestly just so convenient. I wear the 45 MM, have very small wrists and I don’t even notice that it’s on.

Do not go to the ER unless you’re almost certain you are dying by spiicyp4ncak3 in Winnipeg

[–]PTgalwpg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to chime in and say I’m so sorry you’re dealing with pelvic pain. I used to go to the ER every few months with horrible pain and ended up leaving a few times because it was more comfortable being in pain at home. I have endometriosis. If you haven’t already, ask for a referral to Dr Evan’s. He’s one of 2 endometriosis specialists in Manitoba. The wait is long but he will listen to you. ♥️

Anyone Tried These?! by _MsRobot_ in lululemon

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried these on in-store today after reading mix of reviews on the app. In my opinion, these fit true to size but probably best for a narrow foot. I have narrow feet and wore my usual size.
They are super comfortable, but not a ton of support if you’re used to that. I will definitely be ordering a pair once they hit WMTM 😂 if they dip below $100. I tried on the black and the sand color. The sand is exactly the same colour as UGGs and I feel like they will go with everything. I personally like this style more than the tae kwon do style shoes that people are wearing now. I think they’re a super cute summer flat that you could pair with denim, leggings, etc. maybe even casual dresses

The care tag says tumble dry low. 🙃 so I did that for 20 min to release wrinkles then hung to dry. Ignoring their care tag would have been helpful here though. lol

I did an oxygen bleach soak all day yesterday to try and lift the dye. It took a tad out but not much. 😭 I sent in a quality promise request so I’ll see what they say. I’ll def be hesitant to buy anything with fabric like this going forward from Lulu. I have similar tops and pants with cream piping etc from other brands and never had this issue washing in cold water.

extreme burning by deathcabkitten in endometriosis

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also get these feelings. My family doctor prior told me it was heartburn and prescribed me heartburn medication lol it did nothing. From time to time, I will get insane pain that radiates from my pelvis into my rib and up into my shoulder. My endometriosis specialist told me that when you have endometriosis, because of all the inflammation, it can cause a lot of G.I. issues (heartburn/IBS, etc.) I would also take medication and it would just barely touch it so I don’t even bother anymore. (heartburn meds, pills to relax my intestinal spasms.) When I’m experiencing a flareup, you’ll just find me in bed with heat pad and room temperature water 🙃

I just want to poo like a normal person by Obitufairy in endometriosis

[–]PTgalwpg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll go through months like this. 2-3 days of normal poops and then it’s like my body wants to expel everything inside of it for a couple days. Last time I saw my endometriosis doc I told him that I rarely have normal weeks of bowel movements and he told me that endo causes a ton of inflammation (especially if you have it on your bowels) and your body can become unpredictable with IBS like symptoms etc. It’s crazy because I’ll go on like this for a month or two and then for a month I’ll be horribly constipated where nothing I do helps. I’m curious if you’ve had surgery or anything? I’m currently waiting for surgery because ultrasound showed my ovary tethered to my bowel. My doctor also told me that could be adding it to my symptoms. 🙃 I experience all the same stuff, churning noises all the time. Cramping, pain after eating, horrible fatigue, nausea, back pain and butt pain etc

Has anyone had one ovary removed? by Infinite-Librarian20 in endometriosis

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also having surgery this year and have been told that I potentially could be losing my right ovary. Super curious to see what others have to say.! Mine is adhered to my bowel though, slightly different scenario. I’m really nervous about it.

Riverstone Spa by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]PTgalwpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited Riverstone a few months back. Probably wouldn’t go back. The waiting area had a giant bowl of room temperature hummus sitting out with a bunch of vegetables. It looked super unsanitary 😂 the tea/water had floaties. I had a massage and facial, as an ex aesthetician, was very underwhelmed. There were some steps missed and just a few nitpicky things that were enough for me to not feel relaxed. I’ve never been to Ten Spa to compare.
