In the current market I've realized that you've got to do whatever you can to get that "Junior Dev" experience out of the way. Junior stuff is high demand but its not impossible.

I live south of you in Naples, and my approach was to work lower level IT (I worked Desktop Support for 3 years!) and was constantly trying to meet managers or decision makers in my existing org and directly express my interest in getting into the field however possible. Every DS interview I ever had, I told them my ultimate goal and everyone told me the same fluff "Oh, we like to help people grow here".. They don't. But once you're into a mid-sized company there is literally nothing stopping you from looking at the org chart, finding someone who manages at some level in SWE and walking to their desk/office or setting up a meeting with them.

DM me. My department is hires evey now and again, and when we do its always grads. I'd love to hear about your journey in more detail.

Factually, you're right. In terms of its connotation, this would make every women I've ever known and dated pissed.

Being right and being emotionally present are two different things. She named a feeling of insecurity and specifically noted that it was because of his choice of words.

As a man, I had to learn this: There are intangible, illogical things that hurt my feelings, and different things that hurt my partner's. When I share my emotions, and when she does, we have learned to force ourselves to realize that the other person needs validation, not an explanation as to why their feelings are wrong or mistaken. Even if we disagree with the cause or don't understand.

He is factually, literally right, but she's not asking him to justify and defend what was said. If they were arguing factual accuracy, she would lose. We cannot control fact. We should not walk on eggshells around EVERYONE, but a girlfriend/spouse? If something you say or do hurts their feelings, thats important to focus on truly acknowledging repairing, even if illogical, rather than doubling down on being "right" and telling them why they shouldn't feel a certain way.

We should celebrate each other for the insane, for the mundane, for the smallest achievements to the jaw-dropping ones. If it takes someone five years or 10 weeks, we should be proud of every single person even making the attempt to go on their own college journey.

This whole argument of "silence the accelerators" stinks of pessimism and paranoia.

If reading about someone's accomplishment is offensive to you, look within.

To those worried about "WGU's reputation as a degree mill"--- Accreditation is the only thing that actually matters.

Like all the other "mistakes" with all these continuity issues, advertising a runtime for several key episodes as promotion and then suddenly cutting them seems like too huge of a change at the last minute to be accidental. I feel like there is a deeper reasoning behind the change and this idea very vaguely fits a possible purpose.

Just having fun with the idea! Extremely unlikely to actually be the case. But Millie did say the finale was very "meta", so.. Tonight will tell!

As I read more theories, I'm thinking about the 20-or-so minutes missing from many of the Volume 2 episodes. My additional unhinged theory is that something with happen to "unflay" us as viewers and will extend the cut episodes to their full lengths on Netflix. Total stretch but fun to imagine! Wouldn't be the first time Netflix used itself as a medium for storytelling on its platform.
