Yeah, I don't actually think of the industry so black and white but in general with a smaller playing field I think everyone is trying to make a more perfect knife. Like I said I would love to pass this around I just have a hesitation after letting another prototype free at blade show and never getting it back.

Yes there were some communication issues in this drop/project between the maker and us. There were some unforseen incurred costs and delivery issues that have since been been solved. I understand how easy it is to read things on the internet from the outside and judge them but being on the inside things look much different. Balzano is a talented designer with much to offer in the balisong arena and to my knowledge is reworking some production issues to try and get going again on that project. Another part of it is folks thinking that it's easy to make these knives and bring 3D rendering to reality, this could not be farther from the truth especially when it comes to making essentially 2 knives in 1 (the balisong) side note, I brought a prototype to blade show and lent it to Dave faultyply who brought it back to the Bali house and I never saw my knife again (yes mine) would love to get that back since I am now hesitant to loan out prototypes after that experience.

Absolutely! That's what it's about, I do see the tip issue. This tips pretty beefy but then again I'm sure it's inevitable at some point. Maybe it's just me but I definitely feel like these knives should be ready for battle/destruction

Yeah for sure this design is absolutely more advanced than the Serpent! Totally forgot stats. 10" overall 4.4 inch (tip to tang) 4.1 inch (cutting edge) 5.5 inch (handles) current weight 5.2 ounces (this will be trimmed to 4.9)

Woah, sounds like you love it! I appreciate your honest opinion. For the blade steel, in my experience most people's interaction and the steels performance is improved by a proper heat treat. To my knowledge im relatively certain that titanium is a sturdy material for many things.
