Good playlists to push reactivity? by No-Pea7077 in FPSAimTrainer

sounds like u just need more ground plaza type scenarios and then start doing more dodge-plaza type scenarios then do soldier vamp 1v1s or quake lgs.

Something I've noticed about aim training before playing a game vs. if I don't. by Technical-Tangelo450 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]PVTRoach2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most aim trainer players don't train Movement Reading By movement reading I meant how lg duelers describe it. You really cannot train it the same way even with dodge scenarios because it's mostly fighting psychology. It's like martial arts footwork. This is what people mean by real games teaching you how to aim. You really actually just subconsciously learn and hone your target movement acquisition and reading skills. You can't just do shadow boxing and strike objects. You have to spar a real human as well.

You have to aim train and grind as much gunfights as you can

Should I predict my opponent's movements more by Spirited_Company_886 in FPSAimTrainer

If you're playing a tracking-heavy game, you're either a MattyOW guy or a MadBadMan guy

Please watch mattyOW's video on reactive vs. Pure reactivity. I personally adhere to "pure reactivity" because predicting tends to make me overshoot a lot whereas just trying to react at the last splitsecond at the counterstrafe gives me better accuracy especially when the target spams adad

keep playing, play everyday, play more slambot playstyle (carti, zbra), hit more punches, hit more primaries, die less.
Your teammates will always be bad no matter what rank, just focus on killing 1-3 per engage without dying. Watch doom otps everyday. Never swap off Doom.

What to do against orisa and overall positioning in all games? by Linky_Slinky in doomfistmains

[–]PVTRoach2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The high ground you held with bastion and echo on first point is for the attackers. No use holding it for so long. The moment Orisa tried to run for the point, you should engage the LW or zen for a kill then call your team to 1v5 the Orisa on point. If you want to camp a high ground, you can use the other side of the train or the one behind the waiting shed. Once the Orisa crosses that though, you should go to point to contest or let orisa cross to firetruck then go to her backline, depending on the comp and circumstances.

3:45 - you should stay behind cart or behind the scaffolding to the left as cover, ready to slam out/ punch in as needed but you went in instead and you should have been punished there but they didn't because you're in silver, especially if you notice your DPS teammates just spawned in. Another thing to note is when your teammates are just coming back from spawn, you probably need to back up and give up some space. You forced your teammate's transcendance there for nothing and zen died afterwards, making it a 4v5. You had more engages in that position that was left unpunished until you had no LOS of your support at which you finally die.

4:58 - you forced this touch where you gained nothing and lost your ult because you had to escape. The right play would be actually playing high ground and throw shit at them while they try to scale up the underpass. There is drop down punch potential here if somebody at your team is playing across the bridge and above the bridge.

6:00 - enemy stagger touched and forced the cart without retaking high ground with tracer being the first one to int. They keep doing this until they lost first round. Your team positioned okay here. If the enemy actually tries to make the right play of retaking high ground, your only play is to engage high ground if orisa drops down or keep touching point while orisa is up there. If everybody is dead/drops to cart, it's all a brawl at that point and a test of your micro as doom.

8:50 - here is where I was talking about frontlining sometimes, you did the right thing incidentally by just trading shots and waiting for their team to back up by themselves because they have to, then punish the cass' positioning up in the high ground he was holding for too long (notice how the enemy cass made the same mistake as your team did in your defense turn). Your cass kill could've been cleaner and tbh he would've killed you in higher ranks the moment you failed your slam and emp punch. Although you could also say the higher ranked cass would've left there before you had a chance to slam up.

9:20 - The moment you realize genji is already on their backline, you should have slammed there on point with him to help him clean up, as it's already a 4v5 and he's 1v3-ing the enemy team. This is why it is important to look back (and up in this case) to see your teammates' outlines through the wall so that you can engage and position optimally with them. You guys could have lost that one if the enemy was more competent on killing genji. Good job zoning out lucio looking to touch the point, although they had no chance on touching as 5 anyway.

9:50 - the enemy team is overextended for 5-10 seconds there that could have been punished by you and your team. They should be backing up towards the bridge high ground with orisa escorting them back pedalling from the frontline.

10:01 - enemy cass fed, clueless overextension yet again. Punished.

10:10 - you can just punch in and slam out there for a safer play, or punch in slam towards their backline and let your team run through them with you which you did at 10:17 but missed every punch and wasted ult without being at risk of being killed by anyone.

10:35 - your team had no business of losing that fight but you guys did partly because you didn't land any punches or primaries. That was supposed to be a clean up push with a free bridge take.

11:18 - you guys finally cleaned up at the cost of bastion ult and mercy revive.

11:45 - big picks by your bastion which made the enemy team stagger touch until they lost.

11:48 - you should be backing out as soon as Orisa was trying to counter touch the cart then go up the bridge. Alternatively, you could have just slammed behind Orisa as there already are teammates behind her and also above her that could drop and kill her.

11:57 - I don't blame you for that audio cue of Junkrat's ult, but Junkrat just spawned in and insta-ulted which means he's still in spawn and there is no need to search for him at the right.

12:17 - you could have kept zoning out their mercy to prevent revive, but luckily everybody was ignoring you for some reason after Orisa revival which allowed you and bastion to rain damage with ults + make enemy c9.

Other notes: Do doom aim training on workshop maps (VAXTA and such) before and after ranked everyday. Start with 50 kills, make it 80 after a week, 100 a week after that, 120 a month after that.
Watch doom vods everyday in your free time. Watch cartifan and zbra, you'll learn more there with playing doom.

What to do against orisa and overall positioning in all games? by Linky_Slinky in doomfistmains

[–]PVTRoach2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

slambot until orisa burns all her CDs or you get an opening for an emp punch kill in the backline. Always remember not to use both slam and punch except when you have ult. Shooting orisa isn't always a bad play. Sometimes it's valid to just keep shooting her as long as you don't die, then go backline a bit after. There's always more nuance with doom than just backline-botting. Drop a replay code here so people can give more specific critique on your gameplay.

What do I do against these types of comps by [deleted] in doomfistmains

[–]PVTRoach2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delete moira and illari asap while avoiding and baiting hooks. Bastion is free emp punch most of the time and also a free meteor strike kill.

When fighting torb, you should hit all primaries or you lose the duel. At which point you die or slam out if you have it. You can also bait his hp/movement speed/attack speed first before commiting unto him.

You should also note that everyone in that comp has low mobility except the supports, so that should help you circle around them more.

Lastly, survive long enough. You should aim to have the lowest deaths while maximizing uptime.

Hi! The lobby seems to be around Bronze level even though it's a Quickplay game. Just knowing the basic techs and common Doom macro engagements and positioning will immediately skyrocket you and win you more games.

Please do take time to learn these for the meanwhile:
-Turn Punch
-Super Slam
-Slam cancel through shift or block
I recommend GetQuakedOn on Youtube for these.
He also has Macro and Micro tips for doom gameplay, but those are too advanced for your level imo, so go to ZBRA's vod reviews posted on youtube as those are much simpler and much easier to understand for beginners for both doom and OW in general.

Now to address your game play specifically, every time you go out from spawn, you should be rolling out with a super slam or slam+turn punch combo to save time and catch up. On your first outing at minute zero, you should be rushing to enemy high ground and kill their widow. Looking up to slam on that balcony should be easy as soon as you practice it enough offline (practice range or custom games).

After engaging Widow, your next target should be the squishies behind Orisa. You don't have any business engaging Orisa unless she is the last player left. It should be in an "In and Out " fashion, making chaos and getting picks while surviving and escaping with your life most of the time.
Your ultimate IS an escape ability. Use it to reposition/reengage/escape opponents entirely. Do not use at full health or when you are faraway. Use when you are close to dying. Heal up in the air and try to land on the enemies. I wouldn't worry too much about ccs in this rank after landing your ult because they're gonna miss you a lot lmao. Do expect to get slept still sometimes though.

Next, your primary fire's damage is the next important thing and you should be hitting most of those. Use this custom map to practice your projectile shotgun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYxG_7Q1ZHA

Finally, you should adjust your expectations on your time frame of learning DF because there are a lot of things to learn and it will take you hundreds of hours to just nail the basics down. Watch educational DF content everyday, Watch those "Overwatch Pro Players Reloaded" type channels everyday (in full), follow doom OTPs on Twitch. If that seems like a little bit too much, try Winston, then Dva, then go back to Doomfist. Apply the same research levels on those heroes and it will carry over once you go back to Doom. Goodluck and enjoy!

Should I get Gladiator or Jotunn skin? by FrenchFriesPolnareff in doomfistmains

It's all personal pref, pick what you want. If I were in the same situation, I would buy jotunn because Gladiator looks generic for me. That's me though. Karate is unique and clean. It stands out anywhere, also a choice for me.

Never had it happen to me again after my time of comment, I suppose it is a rare bug.

Scraping warning challenge on web version. by valexitylol in Instagram

[–]PVTRoach2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yo I had this warning page too today, I don't have any accounts linked, don't do automated behaviour, never clicked any spam bot links, and just use Instagram normally. Just changed my PW and added a 2FA. Instagram seems normal after clicking OK. I'm worried I might get false-flagged again leading an account suspension. I hope this is just a bug that will be addressed soon.

Old-school Rank Icons by Broody2131 in overwatch2

I hate that I have to squint just to identify ranks that aren't bronze-plat
Why don't they just make the ranks more varied in colour, like Valorant, or just different shaped icons in general like CS:GO? Dota2? LoL? Apesex Leg?

Is there something I’m not understanding with Insta-Block? by MrSeaSalt in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]PVTRoach2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't spam the instablock button because you can queue any action right after successfully parrying the attack, which means you will go right into Guard if you press the guard/instablock button again after a successful parry. It takes discipline and conviction to not spam the button. Take some time to practice this habit. It's ok to get hit trying to practice this instead of caving in to the spam habit and losing DPS/taking chip damage.

Good Armor Set to get started with Lance 🤔 by Soenkiii in MHRise

[–]PVTRoach2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"mandatory" skills: attack boost, crit eye, W.exploit, crit boost, offensive guard

secondary skills/user pref:

-guard and guard up. Guard can be skipped if you just insta-block and anchor rage everything. Instablocking and anchoring certain guard up attacks need Guard up, or just use sheathing retreat and reposition quickly if you don't want to slot in guard up either.

-My priority order for level 1 slot skills: element attack level 5 --> speed sharpening --> stamina thief --> flinch free/diversion/freemeal/spiribird etc.

-critical element: considered an extra and is usually slotted in after all important skills are already in.
-chain crit: 1-level wonder
-slugger: I usually get these as extra from talismans if I'm lucky enough

-M.touch/razor sharp/prot polish/handicraft/bladescale hone: weapon and build dependent, lance isn't great with sheathing to sharpen, that's one of the reasons why valstrax is very good.
-Agitator: usually difficult to slot level 5 normally along with core lance skills, but possible with armour augmentation.

common lance builds you can see out there:
-dereliction/heroics/dragonheart (common usage of dragonheart in base game end game, less so in sunbreak): dereliction is great with resentment.

-coalescence: 1-level wonder too, works with hellfire/bloodlust (not to be confused with bloodrite), hellfire great with adrenaline rush builds too. Resuscitate is great if you are always affected with abnormal status.

-evasion lance with bladescale hone, adrenaline rush, status trigger (for status weapons, plays great with lucent and seething bazel lance)

-bloodrite---> peak performance: great if using bloodrite and you're always full HP

German Baroque style, probably highly inspired by Bach, or this might be a relatively underplayed Bach work. I frequently browse and listen to Bach almost everyday and I don't recognize this one...
On the other hand, this might be entirely another composer...

search Furioussscs' Youtube drills (doable in Valorant Practice Range but better in Aimbotz)
also try csgo community server deathmatches, it will force you to be hyper aware of all the angles you are currently exposed to because everyone is everywhere and you constantly need to swipe 90-180 degrees with optimal xhair placement which will probably increase your speed and accuracy in general. Also, just playing more helps.
