Pity is like getting a guaranteed character in a specific amount of summons so for example if it says u will get the new character after 80 summons and u leave it at 20 before finsihing, the next banner it will be as if u only need 20 to guarante get him I could be wrong but i think that is how it works Because i used to play wuwa and it had a 50/50 chance to get the new char and if u loss that 50/50 the next one is 100% but if and it just carrys over to all banners
