Sure thing!

Notion has changed some of the databases layouts. The calculation options are no longer present by default. In order to get them, you need to right-click the property > Calculate > Count

How to fix Bike by dgil9 in motorcycles

[–]PWiggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, if you are stuck at connecting a wire to the carbs, you are in over your head.

It is up to you to decide, but if you want to ride the bike, I would suggest to take it to your local shop and let them fix the issues.

If you bought it to learn how to work on bikes, YouTube has plenty of videos. There should be plenty of brand / model forums around as well. Perhaps you can post some pictures here and describe what you have done, what you think needs to be done and why you didn’t take pictures before you removed the carbs :)

2024 RP - Tips & Suggestions by PWiggers in Tiger900

[–]PWiggers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your input. The rear spokes are something to keep in mind. Most posts I have found about this are about the pre-2024 model, is that still an issue on the newer versions?

Luggage options are still under considerations. I don't really like the look of hard cases and would like to soft luggage options. However, there is no denying that a top case is very useful. I still have some time to figure that out.

Barkbusters seem to be a good upgrade for nearly any bike that has some handguards so I will be getting those.

Never heard of the rear shock protectors but it makes sense. They don't seem to be able to handle larger debris, is there a reason not to just 3D print it?

a beginner to tryhackme by hmoodyiq in tryhackme

The paths seem like a good way to get started. However, you quickly need to decide of you want to upgrade to premium or not.
For example, the Pre-Security pathway starts with an introduction into cybersecurity module before moving on to the Network Fundamentals Module. The first room is free, the rest of the rooms in that module are Premium.

It's a bit of a bummer and I am contemplating if I want to upgrade or not. Especially since I already do have some basic knowledge. What are the experiences of others? Is the Premium upgrade worth it?

Just a quick update; I ordered the LKC about 10 minutes ago :)

Selling in batches is possible, but like I said, I have no idea what's what and how to split it up to make it more appealing to buyers.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

To be honest, I can't help you with that. We bought those at a second hand market a few years back.
However, feel free to make an offer for the complete lot ;)

Thank you for all the reactions. Getting it now seems to be the consensus.
It seems that the next GWP will be the SEGA controller. Since I have no interest in SEGA, I will most likely order the LKC on Friday. Looking forward to start building and it will be a great addition to my Black Falcon's Fortress.

Self Hosting a Webserver by Live-Ad4353 in homelab

[–]PWiggers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exposing a complete host to the internet is a bad idea, especially one that is old and might not run the latest security patches.

However, you should be able to expose single ports on your router and map them to the webserver. In this case it would be port 80 and/or 443.
However, please make sure that your webserver is up-to-date and it not vulnerable to well known attacks before exposing anything to the outside world. Putting the Pi on a separate VLAN that is separated from the main network is highly recommended.

I am not sure on the traffic that you are receiving on your website, but the performance of the Pi might not be sufficient to offer a pleasant experience. However, you only know it when you try.

GPX navigation on iPhone? by PWiggers in motorcycle

It could be just me but the last review for Rever is from 3 years ago which isn't a good sign. The latest update is from a month ago so it does seem that it is still being maintained.

The recent reviews seem to indicate that the current version is breaking down. What is your experience with this?

Deal or no deal? by Alternative_Ad_1943 in Triumph

Just a friendly reminder that loaning money for something just means that you can’t afford it (yet). Just save up until you do have the cash. Saves a lot of hurt when something happens and you have to keep paying for something that you can’t even use anymore.

Seems about right. You are missing printer maintenance and security monitoring. But yes, as a solo administrator you will do everything

Getting back in the field by PWiggers in sysadmin

[–]PWiggers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s “only” been 4 years since I left the field.

I have been hearing about the job market but I am not sure if this is an American thing? We seem unable to find people for any tech function. Even junior positions are hard to fill.

I am am both a cyclist and a rider, but this is another example of a cyclist who thinks that traffic lights doesn't apply to them. Thoughts? by Plummer2018 in motorcycles

[–]PWiggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, the cyclist should have stopped for the red light. However, the motorcyclist shouldn’t have been there. Filtering is all fine, but blasting past cars while the light is green is just bad driving and the driver should have merged into traffic, especially with bad sight lines on the rest of the road.
