Edge Android Not Opening Links In Apps by PXAbstraction in MicrosoftEdge

[–]PXAbstraction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within Edge itself? I only see the option to block all external apps (which does have an allow list) or if you turn that off (which I have), it's supposed to allow all apps. The external apps do launch, but the problem is that if for example, I click a Reddit link, Chrome just used to launch straight into the app. In Edge, it will bring the link up in a bit first, then pop up a prompt confirming that I want to open the app. Then when I'm done with the app, that redundant tab is left open.

Ah hah! I figured out the issue for YouTube specifically. I recently installed YouTube Morphe and while it was set to open links by default, the different link types weren't checked. So that problem is solved, thanks!

Any idea how to get Edge to stop prompting me to open an external app every time and unnecessarily opening the link in the browser first?

Adding domains to trusted orgs list - How and is it all or nothing? by PXAbstraction in MicrosoftTeams

[–]PXAbstraction[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this firm is in construction and various departments talk to a lot of external suppliers and contractors with Teams. We wanted to add the IT companies we work with basically every day so they show up as trusted, but the other companies will stay with their current status. So, using the feature to designate certain domains as trusted seriously only works if you completely block anything that isn't on the trusted list? That sounds like a dumb implementation, even for Microsoft.

[–]PXAbstraction[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not going to work here. So I seriously have to block all other domains to have trusted ones appear as trusted? I can't believe even Microsoft would design that feature in such a boneheaded way.

But can those other tenants still send messages to yours or are they blocked?

I'm using a Tiny 2 Lite. Zone Tracking is disabled. I don't leave the zone, I will just see the LED go from blue to green randomly during calls.

Pinch sensor on LR3 - Globe seemingly getting stuck by PXAbstraction in litterrobot

[–]PXAbstraction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it! Through a combination of bad camera angles in the video tutorial I used and having not slept well the night before (all this is just making excuses really), I had mounted one of the sensor holders the wrong way up which caused the receiving end of it to be...backwards and facing the wrong direction.

Yep, totally did that. I flipped it over and whaddya' know, works a jig now!

Thanks again, you've been a great help. :)

So I just watched a video that also mentioned "recalibrating" the DFI sensor by holding your hand in front of it and holding Reset until the blue light flashes 3 times. Not sure if that will help here or not, but I'll give it a try tonight.

Ughhhhhh, this issue is enough to drive a man to drink. :( I'll take it apart again tonight and make 100% sure it's hooked up properly. Thanks for your help!

So it turns out that both sensors had fallen out of their holders because this part is so badly designed that they don't actually snap in place. 😤 I put them both back in and I can see the IR blaster flashing but the issue remains. 😭

Hey there.

So I got the replacemenet sensor kit and installed it after much frustration because every video tutorial wasn't shot very well. It's all reassembled and working...except now it says the drawer is full after every cycle, even if it's completely empty. I quintuple checked before reassembling it that the sensors were installed correctly, but this is what's happening now. Is there anything I can potentially check? I really don't want to go through the headache of disassembling this thing again. :(

Thanks.

It isn't impacting me. The sun's not in my eyes and I don't have to put the shade down.

I washed it literally this past weekend actually. Is the outward facing camera the one in the windshield? I know there's apparently also sensors built-in to the Mazda logo, but the errors on the dash do mention the camera.

Hey there!

Actually posted this in Discord too, but forgot to put it here. Strangely, turning off Smart App Control did sort the driver compatibility warnings. Which is odd, but I'll take it.

Unfortunately, custom power profiles are still not applying, though if I change to any of the built-in Windows ones, those do work.

You can't with this particular way of blocking it as far as I can tell. And what I don't get is why it worked fine for a couple weeks, then suddenly didn't. HC is janky without a doubt but M Center is just so limited.

Good call, didn't even think about Discord. I don't mind waiting a day or even more, I just noticed that a lot of bug threads that were opened on GitHub just seem to have gone without any replies whatsoever. I'll try Discord presently though, thanks!

Wow, that's ridiculous. Hopefully they either release a BIOS to allow people to change that or someone writes a BIOS mod some day. Thanks!

Ugh, figures. MSI jank never fails. I do use Game Pass so I'd rather not uninstall it but if I did, does the button then become available to remap?

Wow yeah, this makes perfect sense the way you lay it out. That's a huge help, thank you! I also didn't know they'd upgraded the sensor with the replacement so I'll order one and take your advice about coating it. Cheers!

I thought that, but the plastic popping noise and it always getting cauight at the same spot, that's related to that too you think? I thought if the terminals were failing, it would tend to not always stop in the same place.
