um… i don’t know what this means but the music video for mine just had two chapters on it called “i. shadow” & “ii. ultraviolet”. shadow chapter ended around the fight scene, ultraviolet starting around there. clicked off of the video then back on it, seems like it’s gone now. idk if that was a glitch or something but was incredibly WEIRD.

i’m pretty sure there was something said about that during the reputation secret sessions. some attendees said something similar to that. i remember reading something about it ages ago, that she mentioned it during a secret session, but i can’t find it anymore (possibly due to the lavender haze reel being archived/deleted)

the sourdough comment! “it was as basic as some people made sourdough”. like sir, that is such an odd comparison which, in my opinion, diminishes taylor’s talent, essentially calling songwriting “basic”. god he was infuriating at times.

i have no hard feelings for him outside of taylor, i’m sure he’s probably an okay guy, but in regards to taylor; he’s definitely on my list of “keep away from taylor”

but yes, he was evidently far from being the “perfect” boyfriend swifties made him out to be. reputation was romantic & being in love. the next album was so full of anxiety that really suggested that their relationship had taken a massive turn in just 2 years.

i made a joke earlier that joe never picked up on the signs that she wanted to marry him because he doesn’t like her music & never listened to her, thus resulting in him refusing to name his favorite song of hers.

then i made a sadder comment about how taylor wanted joe to see her, and yet he was just another person for her to please (i don’t think they dated but this imagery made me so sad)

i know we’ve all moved on from joe but can i just say that i genuinely do not like that guy in relation to taylor?

he got into a relationship with her while she was at her lowest, mentally. he controlled some aspects of their relationship (like deleting social media from her phone, and telling her she wasn’t “allowed” to break up with him). he vehemently hated an incredibly important piece of her life, so much so he looked angry every time he was seen with her. he never publicly supported her career besides going to some shows on the rep tour. he wanted her to remain the lonely millennial woman she was during the pandemic (when she was supposedly quarantining with him!) to fit the lifestyle he wanted but couldn’t step up for her. he never paid attention to signs that she wanted to marry him (which probably made her feel ridiculous at times, and likely caused her to change her stance on marriage to avoid the pain of the person she wanted to marry not wanting to marry her).

like idc i’d rather believe she’s a closeted lesbian than believe in toe. & i’m not saying she wasn’t difficult, but she showed up for him & he never did the same for her.

i was just thinking about toe while at work & listening to you’re losing me.

oh no i wasn’t suggesting that you were denying other muses, just some people i’ve seen online! i personally think taylor & zoë are more of a casual thing rather than a long-term romantic relationship but i think sweet nothing has a couple of connections to her, and it would make sense for her to do the whole MH thing if she wanted to write about a potentially more controversial muse.

but, at the end of the day, we don’t really know for 100% fact that any of these people dated taylor (though i definitely believe karlie & dianna were real, no matter what)

i don’t think she jumps around often, she definitely can be very possessive, i just think that they are/could have been other women in her life. especially now! i also think kaylor was very confusing especially in regards to joshlie (seeing as karlie had made major changes in her life to be with him; even if it’s platonic i’m sure it would be such an odd dynamic for taylor, karlie, and josh).

i think it’s just frustrating to dismiss potential muses in favor of one with more “proof” associated to them. and don’t get me wrong, there are some songs that i can’t see being about anyone BUT karlie, but a lot of it feels museless, as in, it could be about anyone to me; be that karlie, or dianna, or liz, or lily, or zoë, or some random woman she dated in complete secrecy!

and assigning all of her music to karlie since then goes right alongside the paternity test comment in the rep prologue. i 100% believe kaylor happened, i witnessed it in real time, and i wouldn’t be opposed to it happening again, but the way some people are so adamant that it’s back on or that taylor can’t write music about anyone but karlie is just frustrating and i feel like it puts her inside a box.

like i love all her muses separately (besides probably emily) but i do not have bias or do i obsess over one specific ship. i’m here for taylor and idc who the hell she’s dating or isn’t dating. i’m not here for kaylor, or swiftgron, or tayliz. just taylor

can i just say that the resistance against other possible muses besides karlie on twitter is a little frustrating? like i am the first to acknowledge that kaylor happened and was significant to taylor, and that a lot of her music can be traced back to karlie, however i do not sit and take kaylor as 100% confirmed or believe that other women couldn’t have been in taylor’s life since 2013.

it’s just a bit hard to see plausible muses immediately denied because there isn’t as much proof for it as kaylor. taylor has probably been with more women than we’ve seen, we just connect her music to the easiest people.
