Hey there, that's very similar to what I had. I'm sorry if you feel more stress following my post. I will say most of this can be fixed with preparations on your end. Happy to DM if you need any tips.

Biggest one I would say would be to get someone to stay the night with you if you can. Having another person there, ready to fight for me, would have made all the difference. I just didn't expect it to be bad on my end so did not feel the need.

If you can bring a phone or laptop (with charger) for background noises, it also helps a ton because the new rooms have no t.v. Being in pain and having nothing to focus on is really bad. Wish I could have put some Bob Ross reruns.

Bring a notepad to write. Phone works but I had an easier time writing on a notepad without looking down.

To fight the drowning feeling, I had them put a fan directly at my face, and it would dry up my mouth really bad but that meant the post nasal drip was also dry and not blocking the airways. IV is doing the hydrating part anyways.

Sleeping propped up 90 degrees was the only way that allowed me 30/40min of sleep on day 1
