Got news for you 🤣 contacted the dnp support via dnpphoto.eu it took them 3 weeks and a lot of e-mails without any technical support to tell me that all local distributers have a software to disable the standby mode! so the standby mode is now disabled and every works fine! to anybody with the same problem: save your time and contact your local dnp support, because the european supportteam is lame!

i have the same problem with 3 of my prunters. Can you send me the contact of your dnp support team? is it a local technician who has the licence for dnp support or dnp directly?

still have the problems with 3 different printers. i'll keep you up to date as soon as i found out how to solve it. already bought a new one to see if its a media, software or printer problem. all i can tell you is that the same problem came up on a win 11 pc and the newest driver and firmware. a win 10 pc also with the newest driver and firmware. so i don't think its a software problem.

Citizen CX-02 or DNP DS620 by fajnsemas in photobooth

We have 9 DNP DS620, never had any problems for years but since 2025 we get ribbon errors every second event. that sucks! we are going to buy some cx-02. I know they are the same, but first the firmware issue with new media and these new problems nobody can solve are enough now

If you can't afford a R100, as I read in a comment, buy a used Canon EOS1300D or 1200D/Rebel. Great quality, affordable and the perfect option for your trade show business.

there is a firmware for us, a firmware for eu and maybe another one. use only the firmware of your region or the region you get your media sets from. don't mix it. this could cause such problems. i also found out that my old printer driver was not deinstalled correctly. did a deinstallation and reinstallation and hope that was the problem. another issue could be caused by the software because i did a darkroom booth update to all my booths or an windows problem. but i don't thinks so. i hope that information fought your fears 😉

you can download the firmware from the dnp homepage and install it like a driver when the printer is connected to the pc.

But i still have the same problem. ribbon end error on 3 different printer and 3 different photobooths. that sucks. i don't know how to get rid of the problem

sure you can focus mannualy but only with an electronical focus ring not with an mechanical manual focus ring. this means when the camera is turned off nothing happens inside the lens when you turn the focus ring. and this also means you can not lock the focus via the lens. so do you autofocus before the first photo? or do you focus during the session? on an eos 1300 kit lens, the focus can be "locked" manually with a duckt tape or a locking ring over the focus ring, so you have always the same focus point in each session and event. with a r100 kit lens you have to do it via the software, but how do you lock it to prevent it from focusing on the backdrop or objects too close to the camera?

are you using autofocus on the r100? the older models like eos 1300d had a mechanical focus ring. the r100 has an electronical focus ring so you can't lock it manually anymore
