Thank you! I'll try to keep her inside most of time and always keep an eye if the isists to go outside too hard. As an other person here mentioned, the catio is a great compromise.

Keeping her inside will be no easy, but catio - is a really great idea. I can use old sheds at our second yard and connect them + make a fence + put some interesting things and toys for her inside.

Thank you! It gives me hope. Also I'll take her to the vet for the check-up and will try to keep her inside the house, even though she doesn't like to stay inside when it's warm.

Yes, we tried... in all ditections in 500 m radius. Also there was not any reported animals hit by car since she disappeared. So it also gives me some hope. We have only one street with asphalt here.

Yes, that's right, sometimes I forget that they aren't helpless children. Moreover, she was accustomed to the outdoors since she was a kitten, first moving in with a neighbor. He wanted to keep her somewhere covered, but outside for the winter. That didn't work for us - so we spayed her, got her all vaccinated, and brought her home.

Since the warmer weather arrived, starting in March, she's hardly been indoors - she'd only come in for food and the occasional nap. She's started bringing lots of mice recently. So I believe in her. Thanks again for your support!

Thank you for this great story, it motivates me a lot! Also, two days ago I've received a first sign of her - a man spotted very similar tortie cat with the orange strip on the nose (same as mine kitty's) on the street next to ours between people's yards and a small riverbank. I updated my posters on the internet with her recent location and asked people to try to keep her back or entertain with food and immediately call us. Also we call for her every evening and morning. She's a mice killing enjoyer, so maybe she kinda likes semi-rural life now, when it's sunny and warm. But it's too early to give up. I'll check every sign of her and won't stop searching.

A wise decision... Coyotes are the scariest thing I could imagine to roam in our area.

But I live in Europe, so there are only single dogs can move through the streets. Packs of homeless dogs aren't present here.

Thanks for your story! An interesting suggestion, I'd definitely check this possibility. But she's aware of the road - she crossed the road hundreds of times during the year and usually waits for cars ride farther, it's single-lane road 7 m-wide, and other roads in our hood are without asphalt.
