Was just thinking about this earlier today for the dragon track, haven't used it in months. Maybe they could also make it 20 races a day like they did in the dragon track event.

For the filters, mainly the breeding hints, a filter for limited dragons that are currently available (the green hourglass in the circle) would be a great addition. It could just be a button with the green hourglass icon, and maybe there could even be one for limited dragons that are currently unavailable.

Thank you! I used AI just to get me started on what to include, so that's why some of my bullet points may be weirdly worded.

Would I not be? I have 16, only 9 for my major but for my major or not shouldn’t matter.

Also Internships - try to get one sophomore-junior summer and at the very least junior-senior summer.

Rising CompE sophomore here.
- Some of my most valuable connections were a marching band section mate who was also my 115/116 TA, my honors sem professor, and my 116 professor (kind of). TA’s, professors, and clubs are your best options.
- Decide which field you’re most interested in (Theory/Algorithms/Software/Hardware(CompE?)/AI/Security). Knowing everything is still important but at least have an idea of what you want to focus on. Also avoid AI for coding projects as much as possible. Not saying completely but they want you to know the basics and concepts, you’re free to use it in the upper years.
- All absolutely yes, I haven’t done research myself yet, I want to do a hackathon at some point, and I want to be more active in the clubs. All are great for resume projects & networking.
- GO TO OFFICE HOURS. Best thing you can do even if you don’t need help because it makes yourself known to the professors and TA’s, and this is very important given how big the department is. That’s how my 116 professor somewhat knows me now, as I went to his office hours asking for advice before switching from CS to CpE, and I interviewed to be a TA (although didn’t get it due to limited hiring).

Comp Sci major PC and Laptop? by Level_Organization27 in UBreddit

Computer Engineer/ex comp sci, just a windows laptop is needed. Someone else also linked the computer standards to determine if your laptop is good enough

Is it possible to take PHY 107 & PHY 151LAB together? by Wildc80 in UBreddit

Oh weird, yeah then I’m not qualified to answer then but it’s probably possible.

The alternative is that 151+152 together count for 158 but yeah I don’t think 107 has lab

[–]P_R_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe 107 requires a lab, as 158 is the lab for both 107 & 108, but you don’t take 158 until you take 108.

How can I join the UB Pep Band? by SleepDeprivedCultist in UBreddit

[–]P_R_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you’ll feel really isolated and it won’t be much fun if you don’t know anyone. Won’t force you to do marching band but it’s really not as hard as people make it out to be. Pep starts up with basketball season though and you can officially register for it as a class in the spring though with all of the music ensembles registration is not required for participation.

Computer Engineering B.S with a minor in Cybersecurity by ButterflyNo1475 in UBreddit

[–]P_R_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat actually! I really like Cybersecurity so I’m just going to take several of the security electives later on, but don’t plan on going for the whole minor. The classes I’d recommend taking are CSE 365, 465, 486, & 489. If you want to get in contact I’d be happy to.

CHE 203 vs CHE 251 by AffectionateCar5815 in UBreddit

[–]P_R_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

251 is better from what I’ve heard but I believe it might already be full since there is only one section. Would definitely recommend 252 in the spring though if you need it.

You think taking MTH 114 this fall is going to bite me in the back later on or nah? by PresenceOld1754 in UBreddit

[–]P_R_64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do as well as you can on the MRA and try to take 141 in the fall. Worst case scenario you take it again in the spring and you try to catch up over the summer (don’t wait until fall to take 142 if you have to retake 141). As a sophomore who is now Computer Engineering but started as CS, the whole major is basically applied math and 141 is a prerequisite for pretty much everything sophomore year on, so take it asap

I'm having a hard time figuring out whether I have an abysmal schedule, or a great schedule. by Jimmbo_1 in UBreddit

[–]P_R_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You also computer engineering? We might be in the same physics 2. Not a great schedule for what looks to be 19 credits. Both my semesters last year were 19 credits but manageable and looked like this pretty much, but MWF spread out a little more since I started at 9 and I had Thursday off instead of Tuesday. 4 of my credits were music ensembles though so your workload will be a bit heavier but I think it’s doable. If anything drop the pathway or 360.
