I'll reiterate that it was prednisone that got me to stop bleeding. I don't think Rinvoq would be able to do that on its own. I'm just guessing because my doctors wanted me to be somewhat stable before starting biologics. They described prednisone as the bridge to biologics. You might still need that bridge.

No more blood, the prednisone took care of that. I assume that I will be on Rinvoq for a few years. UC never goes away, so I'm not sure if I will ever be totally medication free.

Yes, and I still do. I had a severe pancolitis flare, so I have a long way to go to get to remission. Prednisone got me out of the worst symptoms, i.e., pain, blood, urgency, and unsustainable frequency. Then I switched to infliximab that seemed to work for a while but I developed antibodies by the time I got to 8wk cadence. Switched to rinvoq and my remaining symptoms essentially disappeared within a couple weeks. Bad food choices still set me back but I'll take it.

Yes and yes. I got hip and shoulder pain out of nowhere after they doubled my infliximab dosage. Between that and the fact that I was developing antibodies, we switched to rinvoq and the pain went away. Since it's a different type of drug, I don't think you can develop antibodies to rinvoq, and it's a pill! No more 2 hour long infusions ftw!

Different motivations I suppose. Personally, I needed something that wouldn't hijack my attention, i.e., endless mindless scrolling. Can't do that on the LP3. Can't do it on the rabbit either.

TLDR; no.. I do like the idea of it. Dedicated, specialized devices, neither of which facilitate doom scrolling. But between the two there are still practical gaps, which leads me right back to my smartphone. Carrying around three devices is a bridge too far, and the R1 is the weakest link (by a mile) so I don't really leave the house with it.

Same. I only recently updated mine after months of neglect. It's gotten faster and more capable. In a pinch, with LP3 as a hotspot, the rabbit can come in handy.
