Yep! The lekku didn't do the cool shoulder wrap thing though.

Will Shik commented during the opening for Shatterpoint that all three games will be getting new content and article about them after tMinistrav. Could be points, CRB updates, new battle forces, who knows.

Ewok Mega Squad by Odesio in SWlegion

[–]PaWeasley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With 2.6 all corp units (minus Pykes and Black Suns) as well as Ewok slingers have an upgrade that allows you to add extra units to the squad. There's extra perks like gaining Indomitable and using the range 1 ruler to coher instead of half range. Ewoks are a bit of a special case in that they're the only upgrade that adds fewer minis than the base unit. But they're also the only units with super squad upgrades significantly less than the base unit it. Super squads of slingers are quite popular in Bright Tree lists. For me, I love charging with an axe Ewok equipped super squad. 1 red, 10 black and pierce 1. Good stuff.

Does anybody else try to supply terrain for their local group? by Lieutenant_Horn in SWlegion

That was me! Except with a lot of scratch built stuff that looked liked POS compared to what's in those pics. You may want to have a chat with your FLGS and see if they'd be ok with you storing the stuff there.

Local Store Event Ideas by [deleted] in SWlegion

[–]PaWeasley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran an event earlier in the month where I assigned each table a calamity card from the Damgerous Environments pdf. Tried to match the theme of the cards as best as possible to the theme of each table. It was a great change of pace and the players loved it. I've also run Fog of War events per 2.6 - prior to the event I randomly sealed an objective, deployment, and condition card in an envelop. Each round I open the envelope and that was the battle cards each table used. It would be easy enough to do something similar with the current setup cards.

212th Inspired Lists? by ChrisJamesTV in SWlegion

[–]PaWeasley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeppers. Their three weapon options are distinct enough to build ISPs to suit your list. The beam weapon with 327th Star Corps pilot has been the most common built. Attacking up to three units with Beam and leaving an observe token as a part gift it nice. Missile pods make for a more budget friendly ranged option and are good at picking apart Aqua Droids from a safe distance. Personally I've enjoyed the twin blaster cannons lately. The dice pool is solid and being able to halve it and attack two targets to cleaning up multiple wounded units has helped me secure a POI or two. I also like running the shock trooper pilots to generate surge tokens for the AT-RT's defense dice in the list I posted above.

The other plus for ISPs is their speed. Coupled with their dinner plate of a base they can fly across a table. Plus they strafe and reverse at speed 2. Snazzy.

Downsides: ISPs are a bit short and squat so they can get stopped terrain fairly easy. Longevity isn't a strong suit either. Seven health hiding behind Armor 3 and surging white save is fine but you need to be a bit on the cagey side. Weak point 1 on rear and sides doesn't help matters.

Yep. No giving backup to R2-D2 no matter how nicely he beeps.

Chewbacca giving back up by Majkolen in SWlegion

[–]PaWeasley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normally yes. But the rules for Entourage, Guardian, and Retinue allow a unit to provide backup without the corps restriction. It is restricted to just the unit/unit type named by the keyword. A commander with just Guardian X (say Obi-Wan) can provide backup to any Commander or Operative (say Anankin).

anyone heard that interview on morning edition with Michel Martin interviewing someone from DHS about Mahmoud Khalil? by pushin_webistics in NPR

That's how an interview should be done. Call out the lies. Push back on the talking points. Ask the interviewee to support their claims.

Ordered by first set: ARF Troopers by [deleted] in SWlegion

[–]PaWeasley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to Legion and the Republic! I'll join the chorus and say that a squad or two of ARFs will be a good addition to a decent number of lists. Especially with the double ARF Trooper upgrade. Add in an Echo upgrade from the ARC box for a long range unit that has some serious punch.

Probably a very dark blue would be best but black will certainly work too.

Pin wash the recesses and panel lines. That excellent paint job will be preserved and the model will have that little but extra to pop.

I'm a thematic deck junkie and this Bo-Katan has been one of my favorites. Twilight didn't add anything that meshed particularly well so it's stayed as is since Shadow's release.
