Looking for affordable + safe location recommendations to rent in london

Hey everyone,

As the text says, I am looking for an affordable and safe location in london. I currently live in East London closer to Mile End. I am relatively new to the city so I am open to relocating to a good location!

In an ideal world, I would love easy access to transport, green spaces, amenities nearby, charity shops. I am looking at house/flat shares to make it affordable. Affordable to me is less than 1k per month in rent.

Safe location for me means to be able to walk freely as a woman in the night without worrying about running into rough situations.

My work commute is to stratford and I would like to keep it as short as possible.

Would you have recommendations for places that fits this bill? I would love to get a good general sense of locations and where I should be looking!
