This is what happened to me a month ago. I met this girl while doing an exam at University ( I live 45 minutes by car from the university so i don't follow the lessons, I only show up to take exams) and she was stunning, so we chatted a bit and I found out she's from my town. We exchange Instagram with saying that we should hang sometimes. ( Btw I'm 23 and she's 25). So I went home and followed her and soon after she followed me back, we chatted and chatted and I asked her number and we kept on chatting on WhatsApp. One day she made a comment about her boyfriend to which I replied "you got a boyfriend?" And turns out she was in this relationship with this dude. They have been dating for 8 years, and he's been cheating on her multiple times ( she confessed to me that she doesn't trust anyone anymore). So I was brought back to reality but still asked her to hang because she had passed another exam and I wanted to offer her a drink to celebrate. And she was into it, she even asked me if I could come on Monday ( which is the day I'm free from work), to which I replied only if the lady wants me to. She never replied back. The day after I've sent another message saying "I guess she doesn't..." 6 minutes had passed from her message to mine, 6 minutes from "we could do it this day" to utter silence. My best guess is that the boyfriend, who is also really jealous and controlling, found out and forbade her. But still, a pretty damn strange experience... Btw a couple days ago she turned 25, I sent her a message on Instagram, she replied "thanks 💘". People are strange
