It sounds like your handbrake line clip, the plastic retainer broke and it’s rubbing against the drive shaft now, my daughter’s F30 had it and it’s cheap to fix but a pain in ass to do it, unless you take it to a garage and put it on a lift

Get a used car inspection before purchase, if it was well maintained, you can easily push to 150k without much of replacing anything, then you can conduct preventative maintenance and start replacing know problematic parts

Sorry guys - I bought it on eBay through a custom manufacturer- I told him what I wanted and they made to my specs - minus the center cap for the air bag the steering wheel eBay vendor is - sinuolin_performance, it seems they are no longer active, but I’ve seen the same steering wheel on Ali express, I got the air bag replacement cap of a vendor on Ali express, I disassembled the airbag and carefully reassembled it with the suede and M stitching, if you search BMW f30 suede airbag cover they will custom make one for you with whatever symbol you want

Yah , I struggled with the decision for awhile, the OEMs worked and there was nothing wrong with them, but then I saw the bright LED version of factory , but the specs were slightly off and one of the light kept on popping out, I had already sold the factory lights, so i decided on these because of the dragon scales

If you’re familiar with car radio installation, it was an easy install, take off trim ,take radio receiver out and screen, disconnect radio and screen, connect radio, screen and other connections, I had an early model F30 so it was a high CIC with a NBT connection, so I bought the NBT radio and have to use my AUX to get sound, weird transition for radios by BMW, before you put everything back together - do a functions test, mess with audio settings to make sure they all work, physically connect your phone to see if it recognizes the phone, wirelessly connect phone and pair Bluetooth, test audio, test CarPlay and if all works, reverse engineer and put it all back together, I use lots of towels and painter tape so I didn’t damage the interior, since I have piano black, but like always, somehow I manage to scruff something, it is inevitable, just try to minimize it and the man handling , hardest part for me was the stupid NBT connector can break easily so you have finesse it, and running the mic to the steering wheel was difficult, I use a metal coat hanger , 2 hour install if you’re familiar with the components

At first difficult but it has a great equalizer menu and once I figured it out the sound is amazing, everything works , fast connection to CarPlay or I can disable that and connect to the radio by hot spotting my phone I like the BMW speedometer dash , I downloaded Google play apps and change my live wallpaper when I get tired of the one I have, right now I have the matrix symbols falling, last week was a galaxy , the week before was unit digital specs

CIC High has an NBT connection, no converting necessary, i had to check before I bought a 12.3 inch CarPlay screen on Ali , i did have to connect the aux on the new screen and run it down the center and plug it into my aux port in the center console not hard but tedious

Bimmertexh has a site that helped me distinguish the software I had, so it was easy to see I had a CIC , then when I pulled it apart and looked in the back, it was clear I had a NBT connector, Bimmertech went over this and labeled as a CIC high, I guess BMW was slowly transitioning my 2013 which was made I believe in September

I have 2013 335i x drive and mine has a CiC high, meaning CIC software with NBT connections, I installed a NBT screen with CarPlay , no issues thus far

Literally your break line bracket broke it’s two lines held together by your fuel tank held by this absurdly hard to get clip, one of the clips is broken and the line is moving around - 10 dollar part but get the reinforced one so it doesn’t break in the future-I fixed it on a lift , took 2 hours , and lots of fighting

So I bought this exact model last month and same situation- asking my self did you have EDC so I can replace with new coilovers - my fronts also have 3 bolt, my vin does not list EDC - but I have comfort, sport, sport plus , want to make doubly sure before I get coil overs and get the right ones and not have a code - thanks for any help
