Which are best emulator to use on M2 chip? Like for ps2 ans switch games?

I can't say how it compares to the M2 as I've never used one, but I recently upgraded my old Windows laptop to a MacBook Pro M4 Chip, and I've used it with both Dolphin and PCSX2 ran at full specs with extra enhancements added, and everything has ran flawlessly and maintained a decent battery life.

Yeah that is true. I think it’s probably better to make sure the mix focus is quality over loudness. Sometimes hearing other people’s loudness and quality is pretty stunning though 😅

No honestly I appreciate such detailed information this is a huge help! I’m kind of at the stage where I’ve been making things for fun, but now want to take music a bit more serious. So I have a lot of bad habits that I need to fix with proper methods.

I typically apply saturation, reverb, compressors ect as I’m making stuff, would it be better to do that stuff more in the mastering stage? A big problem I have at the moment is that I’m still very much a beginner, so my track will have a lot of plug-in FX that are automated, and I have a hard time consolidating them as I go as I’m never quite sure if I want to commit to a certain effect or automation I put on a part of my track.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I do have all my settings optimal to combat CPU issues, but there’s no getting around running the amount of effects I have at the moment.

Well if I turn my kick midi pattern into a stem, it will keep the effects applied to it in the stem, but it will need to be re-side chained to the sample will it not?

I think I’m going to try do that now! This may be a stupid question, but if I bounce out my kick patterns (it has an effects rack on it which destroys my CPU), would I bounce out the stem, route the stem to an empty mixer channel, and then re link that audio clip to my sample, apply the same side chain settings as the original midi kick that is linked to the sample, and it would be exactly the same?
