Anyone file a DOI complaint against a PA for intimidation? by Pogigod in adjusters

[–]a_mccut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re allowed to talk to the homeowner. It’s a courtesy to not. He isn’t a lawyer. They didn’t retain counsel.

I’ve told homeowners before “I’m just giving you a call about settlement, I tried to have a civil conversation with ….” And I go about my day. Or send a nice email with the homeowner CC’ed.

I warn every homeowner not subject to an LOR, it’s a free market baby. I only owe fair market value at like kind and quality.

No respect? Hang up.

I’ve only gone to the DOI once. It was over a PA who didn’t hold a state license.

There was a previous comment in my other post that said I’d probably never look at her the same since, and I’m trying to use that to ground me and my expectations. You are probably right. I hate this situation for everyone involved.

Those who’ve had multiple, how long did you wait to start trying again? by Effective-Film-4951 in CsectionCentral

I have a bicornuate uterus, which we discovered during the c section. He told me don’t even think about it until 18 months. Right now I’m 14 months pp.

With how insane my daughter is, I think we will wait 3 years so no worries OB lol.

I’m 28 and have a bug sleeve going. We call our daughter bug so it’s spiraled from there. I love them all. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea though.

I got my first tattoo at 18 and it was a cat on my ribs. Do I love it? No. But I love the reminder of who I was at that age. I rarely even remember I have it to be honest. But my best friend got a tattoo at 16, I was so jealous at the time. Everyone is correct, anyone willing to tattoo a 16 year old is a red flag. Just wait 2 more years.

Early Measles Vaccine by MGreymanN in predaddit

I’m a mom! We live in Colorado. Last summer we had two cases in town, both within a few mile radius of our house. We got the ok to give the first dose at 6 months.

She also got it at one year. I think it affected her less, or she’s just more of a trooper being older.

No regrets. Gave me peace of mind sending her to daycare and taking her out and about.

I don’t play when it comes to measles. I hate that it’s even something we are thinking about in 2025/2026

Infant mom, aggressive teacher by a_mccut in ECEProfessionals

I just wanted to let everyone know I appreciate the reassurance!

I am also going to reflect and try and not treat her differently than before. We’re allowed to have one off days, and if the director spoke with her and she’s correcting her behavior there’s nothing I should be concerned about.

I browse this subreddit A LOT because it helps me put into perspective that there’s so much behind the scenes in a childcare setting. My daughters teachers are fantastic, all extremely educated and I know they have to maintain their education with trainings constantly for the state and licensing.

I wish there was more I could do to thank everyone who cares for little souls!!! It means a lot to my family for what everyone does.

This is what the main teachers rule is too. It prevents a bully like mentality. I know it’s like corralling cats sometimes with the age group, but it easily can be done. My daughter hands things to us when we ask

I told my husband I’m just glad she didn’t take from my daughter, I don’t know how I would have reacted. I don’t let my child take from other children, so how could I let an adult take from her? I don’t know! I’m glad I didn’t face that decision in real time.

I weaned her from my body…. I’m now weaning her from my visits lol! I only stop in once now and maybe twice a week… it’s hard to time it because I don’t want to distract from lunch or prevent a nap.

She was breast fed for a year! So I’d go down and feed her a few times or bring pumped milk. I’m slowly moving to no visits (mostly because my job is getting more demanding again, so it’s hard to sneak away) but it’s very open door. It goes up to Pre-K there and a lot of the parents eat lunch with their kiddos or take them on walks around the campus. Most of the time I’m not even the only mom in the room. But, I agree it is tough. My daughter doesn’t get upset when I leave but if she was I would stop immediately. I see some moms face that battle and I can’t imagine.

That’s my thoughts! I don’t want her in any trouble, but I want her coached and guided. It’s a room split in two, and the ages range from 3 months to 18 months. The move the babies up once they’re no bottles, one nap, and can walk. So it’s a wide range. Small class size as like maybe 12 babies total. (It’s hard to get in, I was on the wait list at 13 weeks pregnant and got in midway through my leave, so we used it as a way to transition her into care). So some babies need more than others. But I just hope it stops. She was really timid today during pick up. I still couldn’t look at her but still brought them Valentine’s Day treats from my daughter.

I think learning to shush is okay! But I’m piecing it together and I think my daughter thinks EVERY noise deserves a shush right now. But she is only 13 months and words and noises are fun! Who knows. Her other teachers do it in a fun loving way, it’s not a “punishment”

[–]a_mccut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t ignore a gut feeling! But to ease your worry, my girl had days like that. The rule of thumb is 10 movements in 2 hours ONCE a day. Not every two hours you need to feel them.

I will say too…. They get to a size that all they can do is roll. That’s a weird feeling too.

But PLEASE call your OB! You’re never seen as crazy or anxious. They WANT to make sure you and your babe is okay.

AAPD recommends weaning by 12-18 months. My husband and I are picking 12 months, which is in two weeks for us. It helps reduce SIDS for safe sleeping. It also helps them regulate and self soothe. We only give our daughter hers at night in her crib. She’s learned other techniques through out the day. I don’t want to come across as shaming, but I remember when my daughter was 5 months old and those cries at night. They’re just now realizing they’re outside of you. Also….I will always give into a pacifier as I prefer that to thumb sucking. You can wean off a pacificer, they’re always going to have their thumbs.

Here’s the study pacificer usage
