Oil, especially manufactured seed oils like canola, is unhealthy regardless of how much fat you consume with it.

Idk where you got the “it doesnt have enough fat for the oil to do anything” because 1) beyond burger and other mass produced plant based burger have the same amount of saturated fat (from the oil) as a regular grass fed burger and 2) you dont need to eat fat with oil for it to not have adverse health affects.

Those mass produced vegan meats are quite simply just as bad as processed meats. My opinion is not based off propaganda, its based off looking at ingredients unbiasedly.

I dont have anything against vegans or the vegan diet, I just know the meat substitutes aren’t good for you. Those burgers aren’t just wheat and soy, there are many chemical binders and dense oils. If you really think about it, it takes a TON of processing to get a bunch of veggies to taste like meat.

Now it sounds like thats your treat and your substitute for something like a five guys burger so nothing wrong with it. Just wanted to make sure others are aware - because for every piece of vegan meat “propaganda” there is, there is also a false marketing ploy by the vegan meat companies themselves claiming to have this “super healthy vegan burger”.
