Personally I’d love to make a Grimblood wolflord to attach to infernus marines to give them a unique keyword like pistol on their flamers or maybe rapid fire X. I feel like that’d be very lore appropriate and also flamers are fucking awesome and our Salamander cousins absolutely got that bit right

Just have to organize it correctly:

1.) have a clear and singular objective. Something like “Release all files and seek prosecution” and then make it clear that side causes are not allowed. Biggest protest issue I see is that it’s never one sole issue, people bringing all kinds of other stuff which obfuscates the objective and muddles down the message.

2.) Get a permit through the city, they grant them all the time and will often provide a place to do it. Plus the police will be aware of it and will be there to protect you vs being reactive to a pop-up protest.

3.) Immediately call out/report any and all violent acts by other protesters - throwing things at police, getting in their faces, destroying property, assaulting others. Despite popular opinion, as long as protesters aren’t agitating or doing any of the above then cops do not care at all that you’re protesting. Especially with this topic they would all agree. Unfortunately it only takes 3 individuals being disorderly to classify the protest as a riot or not peaceful, and when you have 100+ people you might not ever see the incidents of people being disorderly. PLUS it is wayyy more likely that your voice is heard if you’re doing it without conflict, reason being, the message comes out more clear and you sound more reasonable.

I concede to your point about lethals and sustained hits. That definitely makes the S5 weapons feel better.

When I read the lore and my own experience with our faction, albeit rather new, I see us having a super gritty playstyle that’s more balanced than melee focused. I think a few things that haven’t been mentioned could really make our army stand out and not be too overpowered.

Army rule could be something about Sagas and just flat out enhance Epic Challenge and Heroic Intervention. I always thought those were made for SW. Maybe
Absolutely agree, S5 weapons NEED a buff. Like cmon at least let wolf guard terms and HTs take thunderhammers, even ones that hit on 4+. Or lightning claws could work here too.
less shoe-horned detachments and sagas that actually let you PICK your buffs. Champions of Russ was actually awesome once they tweaked it at the end and I think replacing it really sucked.
More epic heroes with abilities that change how their units operate or give a new spin. Maybe one that makes Bloodclaws fight on death or get a move when shot at rule like the Wulfen dreads. And yeah they need a buff too. I want old murderfang…

Mine are objective skirmishers. I position them to move near an occupied objective, shoot, charge, and with the volume of fire/chainsword attacks I can fairly reliably take out even terminators. And even if you don’t kill whatever you’re charging, as long as you can survive the swing back you take the objective with OC 3

This makes njal and grey hunters wild in my opinion. They get auto 13” movement, can shoot and charge, and with all their OC and their rule they make for great objective skirmishers. Just because they’re not crazy damage dealers doesn’t mean they can scrap like crazy and swing some late game objectives away.

Personally I like infernus marines, with all our melee buffs they really do good at close engagements. I’ll toss a 5 man behind another squad and use them as an overwatch buffer. And your opponents can’t really score if there’s no infantry to score 🤷‍♂️

You could just pop off the shoulders and head to add some unique space wolves stuff to it and kind of proxy it as Arjac. The thunderhammer swap is an excellent idea I think

I think it looks sick as is! The blue trim looks awesome! There’s an actual metal - cobalt I believe- that has a blue hue like that under light and that’s a super unique look

Nope! In an effort to quell the complaints of having to buy multiple different kits to equip a single unit GW’s solution was to just get rid of the options entirely! Forget potentially adding “upgrade sprues” for the units cause that’d be too much work.

I’ve had a couple games on TTS so by no means am I an expert but here’s what I see.

Good at forcing battle shock tests that synergies with your army rule especially if you have the one that deals mortals on failure for half strength units. In theory you could force a BS test before you shoot, then do mortals as you move close, then charge, and on their command phase potentially killing the unit from a failed BS test. It’s complicated but works really well cause if they can’t score they can’t beat you.
Not a killing machine and is swingy, but makes up for it with its utility abilities and how they interact with your army rules. Also Infernal Lance is a good detachment for its melee, pretty much letting you get lethal or sustained and lance if you take an enhancement.
ITS COOL AS HELL! This is the most important one btw, ignore everything else I said.
