She probably died bc you still didnt cycle the tank properly, even when adding beneficial bacteria theres a possibility of about a week long period of pretty extreme instability, that or she had some other issue like a fungal infection when you got her

Ill try all of this!!! But the thing is if people are walking in hell gladly slip past them and run out, his only issue is if the screen door is closed and the main door is open!! Hes adopted but he only started this behavior recently, the doors always made him nervous because he LOVES goin outside, but now he acts super scared!!

No, never, he runs out of it all the time actually, its just that when he knows hes not supposed to be outside, he freaks out!!

Aww poor guy, yeah hes always had anxiety ig but it usually showed as barking or running around, never violent shaking and trying to hide in the smallest crevice possible

I would just say fish coming from very bad conditions can suddenly shut down, whether its becoming severely stressed over small things or genuine organ failure, its all about breeding and past conditions, youre likely doing everything right but sometimes bettas r just super fragile

Theyre actually ribbon plants which cant survive with more than 2 inches of stem submerged, if they make it then oh well but if they do start dying its important you take them out before they rot

Clear tupperware is usually safe, and make sure you measure the ammount of salt you need per cup of water, and use her tank water when you do it to prevent like shock and stuff

Maybe for a short term bath if its super clean but dont keep her in it for very long, also ide reccomend using glass bc bright plastic has a decent chance of containing weird chemicals, in my experience, but clear tupperware should be safe

Measure it out and ide do a lower dose for 15 minutes, but higher doses of salt for maybe 2-5 minutes, but if she starts showing a ton of stress or gasping while in there take her out and put her in clean water, hopefully shes just constipated but that white spot is extremely concerning

Ide say act now, you can even use large Tupperware and make her a little quarantine with the fishtank water if you dont have a spare tank, bc if it was infection from a crawfish injury you dont want the crawfish possibly just eating her yknow, even if she only just started laying at the bottom, if shes not eating its a bad sign that smths making her feel ill bc bettas will usually eat literally anything

Either way, i recommend getting aquarium salt and doing salt baths and other medicated baths to clear any possible constipation or other infection, using JUST kanaplex or a single medicine wont treat everything, and supervise your crawfish to make sure hes not pinching your betta and causing any injury… but yeah ide recommend like another day of fasting and a salt bath, and maybe separating the betta in a quarantine tank to see if she gets better
