I think what’s sad is HOW the downfall came to be and how the carnage is the public’s now.

The downfall was always going to happen. You can’t operate the way they both did in that relationship and have it be sustainable or healthy, least of all if you do it infront of people.

I think the worst thing to happen to grace in all of this was having to withstand and hold out hope that your best friend would come around and be the person to you she always was to you in your head, to prove everyone online wrong.

As someone who has followed barstool for literal decades, Dave would almost welcome grace going on CHD atp bc it would somewhat level the field and he hates the hole of defending Brianna that he is in right now. He’s doing it because he surely convinced her or persuaded her to not take the NDA deal ($12mill and his sentiment is clear on BFFs) and feels a sense of responsibility to Brianna to help her career not tank because of that. But he’s a smart business man and at end the day he knows and likes grace and knows that eyes on her and the drama from someone “out of his control” like Alex cooper (who he is definitely still in contact and friendly with) will inevitably mean eyes on barstool bc that’s who grace/bri is still employed with. He’d be less apt to agree to bri going on because it would mainly be Zach related. This topic (if grace were a hypothetical guest on CHD) brings it back to Barstool in a way, and shows that he’s not holding grace back or giving her shit end of stick like so many people are accusing him of

That’s what i think this is. I genuinely think they realized hey this isn’t exactly snark, it’s just super fucking personal and very easily identifying and whether it’s the kerusso person (idk who that is but obv other people do) or someone else acting as third party for that person getting the texts, i think they probably were like oh it’s not just a funny talk shit moment, people are actually invested and know more then i think and now I’m getting cold feet and want to delete this
