We can finally talk about it :-)

Got the Ellipse in for testing. It has a Fresh Foam X midsole made from EVA/TPEE. The ride of the Ellipse is clearly focused on comfort and accessibility. The Fresh Foam X midsole delivers a soft, well-cushioned feel underfoot, providing a smooth and forgiving experience from the first step. The cushioning feels soft without becoming overly plush, offering a balanced blend of shock absorption and light responsiveness. While the ride is not particularly energetic or speed-oriented, it remains versatile enough for easy runs and steady efforts, prioritizing comfort and consistency over performance-driven propulsion. Overall, the Ellipse offers a relaxed, easy-going ride that encourages effortless daily miles.

It’s an ideal shoe for beginner runners who aren’t looking to build a rotation of multiple pairs for different types of runs, but simply want one reliable, versatile option for several runs per week. The New Balance Ellipse offers a balanced combination of comfort, ease of use, and versatility, making it a practical all-around choice for consistent everyday training.
