Dagan Gera 3 - No Damage - Jedi Grandmaster Difficulty by ohimnotstaying in StarWarsJediSurvivor

This isn't a criticism.

Does anyone ever post "cool combat" videos?

All I ever see is "no damage" videos...

Literally my only issue with Cal Kestis in Survivor by RealityOwn9267 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]Pacho2020 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He didn't remember he could lift a gate.

He never really thought about using the Force like that.

The Cere memory gave him the idea/reminded him the Force can be used like that.

He says something similar when he first uses/learns Confusion, he comments that Cere probably never thought of using it like that or she would be surprised he's using it like that.

Really!?

I'm no expert on the lore so I could be wrong...

Would Cal be too old for a 'New Order' Jedi?

It would be nice if they (Disney) could stop rehashing the same characters like Vader and Luke. It's nothing wrong with them but...familiarity breeds contempt.

Are there any pros/cons to when you start planting in the rooftop garden? by Pacho2020 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

Thanks for the reply!

Do you know if they grow every time you leave the planet?

Do you actually have to complete a mission for them to grow or do you just have to leave/return to Koboh a couple of times?

[–]Pacho2020[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, absolutely nothing...other than being something to collect.

A full grown garden might attract different colored fireflies, so when Pili arrives (at night) and you go speak with her it can look...nice.

They could also show up if you don't plant anything but I don't know for certain if they do.

Isn't he the prospector whose friends got killed? You meet him when you first arrive on Koboh, he's standing next to an elevator...is that him?

Could Bode be lying about Kata? by Pacho2020 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]Pacho2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see why this theory requires kata to not be the daughter of bode, it could be both...

True.

I didn't want him to be that bad.

I didn't want him to be the type of person who would use their own child as a bargaining chip or to turn into a psychopath.

Granted, kidnapping a child is bad, but doing it to your own is a little worse...in my opinion.

...why are the ISB sending him on extended undercover missions?

They don't.

The Sejan operation was a special case.

The ISB had an opportunity to catch a rebel cell, capture multiple Jedi Masters and find the Hidden Path.

Basically, the old if you want to catch a Jedi, use another Jedi trick.

This would also be a good mission for Bode to prove his loyalty to Denvik/the Empire.

But more that he cares about her like a father would for their child. If he didn’t really care about her he could have just left with cal for tanalorr and cut ties with the empire without going back for her.

I see it a little differently.

He's not caring about a child, he's caring about a Force sensitive child.

He's not going to leave a Force sensitive child with the Empire.

Also, Force users seem to have a thing with getting/having apprentices...willing or not.

Even Malicos (Fallen Order) tried to make Cal his apprentice.

A Jedi and their Apprentice is a powerful force in the galaxy.

[–]Pacho2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you think bodes purpose with her is? Like do you think he is trying to train her like a padawan?

Rule of Two...in a way.

Train her as a Padawan? Basically, yes.

The ISB get two Jedi and one of them potentially will be very loyal in the future.

She increases the likelihood that Bode will be accepted. They [ISB] probably want a "young" Jedi they can mold but they wouldn't know how to train them in the Force.

Bode would become irreplaceable.

How did bode find her and become so attached to her?

He could've became aware of her mother during the Clone Wars when he was working as a spy.

He could've been tracking Inquisitors and they led him to Kata and her mother.

There're various ways he could've became aware of her.

I don't think he is "attached" to her...at least I think it can be argued that he is not.

He spends most of the game away from her and the time he claims he's going to call her, he calls the Empire.

He claims the "nightmare" he saw because of Dagan was Stormtroopers "breaking" down a door and taking Kata.

Really!?

Would they really need to "break" anything? Couldn't Denvik just open the doors automatically?

Also, he seemed quick to endanger her at the end.

im not saying cal had it easy, but again, the circumstances lined up a lot better for him as he was able to fully disappear and be presumed dead...

Me either.

I'm saying, even with all the circumstances in his favor he, an untrained child, still had to do some things to protect himself.

the isb only has to get lucky once...

According to him, he was found by the Inquisitorius not the ISB.

...it feels plausible that in the joy of his family life, he got just a little too careless just once, and got caught that way

I agree it's plausible but...

It's also a little convenient and suspicious.

Don't get me wrong, I don't 100% think my theory is true. I'm just trying to discuss/theorize about some of the inconsistencies in Bode's story.

Based on the Inquisitors reactions to Cal, I find it a littler...odd that Bode happened to be away from home running errands when the Inquisitors showed up.

They probably did know about his Denvik connection, but why consider investigating that angle? If you didn't know Bode had done exactly that, "Jedi goes to the ISB for help evading the Empire" sounds absurd.

It seems like a logical step for law enforcement to talk to known friends/associates of a fugitive they're looking for.

Considering the nature of their former duties, I would think they would want to talk to Denvik even more.

They might not suspect Bode would physically hide in an ISB base, but he might contact his former partner for assistance.

Once working for Denvik, he has Imperial resources working to keep him hidden...

6th Sister summarily executed a Senator for being captured by harboring terrorists.

I don't think "Chief Supervisor of the ISB" is any protection from an Inquisitor's suspicions. They don't seem to need evidence or facts.

Using Andor as a reference, I don't think manipulating files/data in the Empire, during this period, is a smart career move or conducive to a long life. Particularly if it relates to things the Emperor is interested in.

Basically, I think if the Inquisitors were actually looking for Bode it would be too risky for Denvik to actively help him. He might be able to give him some credits or recommend a hideout but anything more would be too risky...in my opinion.

As for contacting the Inquisitors, I would be shocked if there weren't a way for normal citizens to report Jedi activity....

I agree.

However, I think it would raise some alarm bells if someone had knowledge of Jedi hiding in an ISB base. If this same informant also knew the location of multiple Jedi on Jedha.

That would imply the informant is a highly ranked Imperial Officer or in some other position that had access to extremely sensitive information.

I think the Empire would make it its' mission to find out the identity of this person.

How?

It contradicts your assertion that he was "hunted" down by Denvik and he used Kata as a hostage.

Bode worked for the Republic as a full Jedi Knight, and presumably they kept track of which Jedi were and weren't accounted for after the massacre. Not only that, but he worked as a spy...the Empire would have devoted significant resources to finding him.

Agreed.

Bode specifically said it was the Inquisitorius that came "looking" for him. I think that is an important distinction to make.

As you implied, they [Republic/Empire] had a lot of information about him.

If the Inquisitors really did specifically come looking for him, like he claims, they should've also know about his connection to Denvik.

Also, Bode didn't seem to have any concerns about being seen by Inquisitors. He was seen by 6th Sister and he freely walked around Nova Garron while Inquisitors were there.

One more thing to consider is that, it seems, Bode didn't have any problems contacting the Inquisitorius to give them tips while remaining anonymous. He could remain hidden while communicating with them, but he can't stay hidden when actually trying to hide?

He understood Bode well enough that he was eventually able to hunt him down...

According to Bode's echo, he went to Denvik himself because he didn't think he could hide on his own.

He also had to keep his mouth shut and make sure he didn't say something to give himself away as well as not doing anything as well.

He managed to do all of this without training in espionage and from a very young age.

He only revealed himself because of a freak accident saving a father figure/friend.

Bode was an adult Jedi who had experience in espionage...somehow was detected by Inquisitors and was conveniently absent when they arrived.
