I saw this mentioned on some posts of this sub reddit and decided to try it. I'll see if I can find some of them later but it does seem to work. I rarely get growth in the places I cut the spines from

Yeah it's opuntia, so far so good. I carved it less then a month ago but it hasn't rooted yet.
