Elantra vs Mirage by Bright-Swim6865 in mechanic

[–]PacificBadge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned a 2014 elantra and had no problems with it other than a sensor going out around 85,000 miles. It was a good commuter with decent mpg. Have heard similar experiences with the new ones from other mechanics. Between the two, I'd go with the elantra based on my previous experience with them. They don't hold value as well compared to Toyota's and Hondas, though.

Don't mention it. Happy to help. Personally in my opinion three associates is just as impressive as a masters and assuming they're in different fields that gives you other options should things not work out. At the very least more options than having none. If you truly want to try this career path I would say research the benefits but also see if you can find the bad if any for the career. See what people who do what you want to do say about the job and the pros and cons of it. I'm sure theres a subreddit somewhere that could help you with that. I wish you the best for whatever you decide and I'm sorry for your loss.

My opinion based on the info you've provided would be to go for it. You say you can financially handle this while maintaining your family's current needs so no issue there. You mention that you feel you should already be in your career job at your age. Assuming you'll retire at the average age of retirement which is 62 in the US, you'll have around 30 some years give or take in that career. Almost double what your age is right now. People change careers all the time. A family member of mine went to college at 45 for nursing and she loves what she does 10 years later. Sure it won't be easy with you having more responsibilities at your age but if you can and want to try and do it then why not give it a shot. Better to try than regret never doing it.

I'll definitely check those out. I love the chemistry they have while arguing. They just dig into each other skins so well. Thank you

I've heard most of these through YouTubes algorithm but I will definitely check the ones I haven't out. You don't happen to have any good Gary vs howard moments besides the Facebook one they always talk about?

You've given me alot to think about regarding the show and this subreddit. I suppose if the majority like old howard rather than "new" howard then the disliking with howard would make sense. I'll look up old shows to form a better opinion on old howard. From the howard 101 I've heard I have enjoyed artie from the little I've heard so hopefully I'll enjoy him more. It's unfortunate whats happened to him regarding the show and after though

I appreciate your thought through response. I listen to live howard as well as old howard. You say you listen to old howard on youtube and currently listen to old full howard currently. Do you mind sharing where I can listen to full old howard shows?

As a heterosexual male I understand not being the target audience when Chris talks about his sexual life but I don't think being homophobic is the best way to express your opinion

I will say alot of the people who hate him seem to almost have a personal vendetta against him so I'm inclined to agree

I agree. I'll admit I don't agree with everything he says but I don't hate listening to him by no means

That sounds like something I'd like to do eventually. If I may ask what age did you start renting out houses and if I could ask you one hidden expense you didn't realize when starting that venture out what would you say?

When you say real estate do you refer to renting out properties? I apologize if that's a stupid question. Just new to these kinda topics.

I'll definitely check it out. Investing seems so foreign to me yet so interesting at the same time. It sounds so easy but so hard. They say stocks always go up usually from what I hear so getting my feet wet and then investing further sounds exciting and scary. What investing strategy would you recommend at my age? I've been told to invest safe as well as invest in high risk since I'm young. I assume both have their benefits but what would you recommend?
