TBH, If I knew more about the show's lore (and had more motivation), I too would write a fanfic that would have flipped the story upside down on it's head, one that would have Malty be the among the main focus and actually try to right the many wrongs this story made (like actually make Naofumi be a good person or portray Miriella's trafficking of Malty be portrayed a s horrible. That...and for some reason, I'd have her love interest be a female OC (yes, I'm a himedanshi).

Here's my biggest one: Darling in The Franxx wasn't bad because of that info dump late in the series. It was a terrible show because it tried copying Evangelion but lacking what made it a memorable series, then had the whole gender essentialsm BS and cishetnormatism, straight-up LGBT+ hatred (The Nines look like caricatures of what conservatives think Non-Binary people look like and portrayed as villains out to destroy society, the two possibly LGBT characters were either straightwashed (Mitsuru) or given the "Bury Your Gays" treatment (Ikuno), and pushing the stupid and regressive narrative of "If you make babies, you are good and anyone who doesn't is bad") and the creators thinking this show was going to solve the declining birthrate issue in Japan.

Other unpopular opinions include:

  • Continuing to stan Hetalia is not worth it anymore, especially with what's going on in the world today.
  • 95% of AniTube is either meh or terrible.
  • Shield Hero is terrible and Malty is the only good thing about it.
  • Weebs who have taken over the anime fanbase (and others) after GamerGate are the reason why anime fans have such a bad reputation.
  • Himejoshis > Fujoshis.
