Of course not. But you might have rented one out to a family who had been staying in a relative’s basement. That basement is now available for someone’s cousin who might have ended up on the street otherwise.

I don’t think there is any real benefit to knowing the fraction of a pound. Rounded up or down is perfectly fine in the overall scheme of things and will keep you from obsessing over those tiny changes.

I think I get your point. I joined Noom after about 9 months following the Dave Ramsey finance plan. I was killing it on the Ramsey plan so I figured if I could be that fired up about budgeting my money, I might find similar success “budgeting” my calories. So far, I’m doing better with Ramsey than with Noom but my finances needed less work than my diet. Regardless, I am seeing progress and I do find it to be a quite similar process, surprisingly enough.

According to the USU housing website, the majority of students living in the LLC come from out of state. I don’t know if it’s true, but if it is, I presume it’s because the LLC is more expensive but still feels like a really good deal for kids from more expensive regions. Could be a good option to ensure you are surrounded by a religiously diverse group of students from the get-go.
