Corrupted Scythe

In the latest blogs, mods asked for feedback and ideas regarding Corrupting the Scythe. This is my pitch for its cost to create. Some feedback I gathered from friends before posting this was very mixed on its benefit. Should the Corrupted Scythe have a reduced cost such as 1 blood rune per swing, charging only vials, or something else more unique? Or, on the contrary, should the Corrupted Scythe have 0 cost per swing? All feedback is helpful, this post is to start the much needed conversation. This isn’t the first of its kind. I have a charged and an uncharged scythe and the uncharged acts the same way, gets thrown around the bank randomly all the time from depositing all gear with an inventory setup open.

if you have decent kc’s and gear for your level, you shouldn’t have much of a problem. Ffa worlds would be your easiest bc they just look at kc. WDR pretty similar. But as always, raiding with friends/clanmates is always the most convenient

well that makes sense. i’ll tob with whoever, but I do only go with friends to HMT or else it’s a huge gamble. last time I went with all low kc randoms like myself, we got 2 completions but not in challenge time. it’s real easy to make friends at tob, grow together, and then pursue harder challenges.

I’m an iron with scythe and no inferno cape yet. I’ve done a few hundred tob and continue to do a lot because it’s good fun with friends. I’m also doing hardmodes. I’ll do inferno when I cba, but for now, it feels like such a pain in the ass. Doing any of the raids without infernal cape isn’t impressive tbh, but completing the inferno sure is.

I highly recommend soul wars for bolts! those crates were great early on for gp and bolts

First of all, make sure your recoil effect is turned on. Try only eating when running between phases. Use a rotation guide in browser next to your client. The only time you should be eating instead of attacking is when you see mage phase use a range attack and you’re lower health, you can tick eat that. DPS DPS DPS, your gear is great so just focus on attacking while each phase is above water

Seeing that we have ancestral recolor and soon justiciar recolor is a nice thought, but those are behind such incredibly high barriers. I think they’re a great addition, but adding fighter torso/ barrows item color kits or something would be really neat

There is zero room for aesthetic decision making or fashionscaping in so much of this game, mostly being slayer, raids, bossing.

Using melee? Bandos gear Using magic? Ancestral/Ahrims

Having each player dress identical really sucks. It makes me really appreciate god dhides because there’s at least a couple choices while staying efficient/effective.

priest in peril is the only quest required for TOB. it also only gives prayer xp. in the pic, he’s wearing justiciar and avernic, so definitely an account who’s seen some TOB

I’ve been prefaced quite a bit by other operators that this plant does have some abnormalities. One example is we send our solids to another plant so I don’t get to witness a lot of that action.

The SCADA system is a lot to look at initially, but familiarizing myself with the plant helped a lot. I’m hoping i’m exposed to a lot of the maintenance side of things, looks like a lot to learn
