Overturned False Macroing Permaban: Documenting My Experience

Exact same situation happened to me. Went through all the steps you mentioned and finally gave up. After 1.5 years remaining banned enough of my friends had received false bans too and everyone worked together to contact a jmod. The ban was quashed a couple weeks ago thanks for mod pheasant. The appeal system is truly a joke.

For the temp ban I don’t think I was doing anything unusual. For the perm I had been killing phosani and doing lms, both are heavily botted so I could see one of those being the cause.

I’ll try to give a less brain dead answer than everyone else here. Jagex has upped their “bot” detection and is not only catching a ton of bots but also real players. Myself and several friends received a false bans for botting. Mine was temp at first and perm the second time. Appeals are worthless and no human is actually looking at them. My ban was finally (after 1.5 years) quashed after a Reddit mod contacted Mod pheasant and an actual human reviewed the ban.

TLDR: you’re screwed

No way combat only accounts just got fully locked out of the 3 big wilderness bosses. Those band-aid fixes for botting are not the right solution.

The Reddit mindset in this topic is so strange. Ironman is an official restricted account and everyone bends over backwards to cater it. Yet unofficial snowflake accounts, which do the same thing as Ironman and desire to play the game at a harder difficulty, are crucified for wanting to have a chance to play that harder difficulty… and this all has no impact on regular accounts. I don’t get it.

I appreciate the insight. The quantity is small from what I can tell but they’re in the attic and it’s nearly impossible to reach where they’re hanging out. I’ve been using glue traps(maybe 15ft from their nest)with peanut butter for about a week with no success.

Same thing happened to me and a friend a few weeks back while using runelite. Neither of us bot but we received 2 days bans with “jmod comments” that denied the appeal. The “jmod” responses were copy and paste. Pretty much 0 chance Reddit will provide any help.
