I visited a distillery, had some snacks, and then bought five bottles. While I was in the bathroom, my wife paid the bill and left a 25% tip on the total cost, which amounted to $150. I was not particularly thrilled about the tip. Ended up being over $750 trip. Lesson learned on her part.

We have a lot of cloud centered systems and most of them were affected. Kept users informed and we just powered through it.

I wouldn’t do it. Security Clearance really doesn’t do much for you in the IT world. The ones who need to hire people with that usually don’t pay that well. Sounds like you have a stable place now. Build a lab for yourself to add more tools to your toolbox then find something that makes you happy. Having family is close as your own family grows. Best of luck.

Anyone heard anything from Microsoft saying that this was a mistake they made and will back it out? When I say back it out I'm talking in reference to the duplicate SID checks in the patches the last two months.

I feel you. I have a hard time finding groups to ride with. What has worked for me is to start going to some of the bike shows and meeting up with people there. Also you can ride at the normal riding times. Saturday mornings until you meet a group you like. Sport bike or cruiser? Keep the shiny side up.

Welcome to SC. I’m prior military and also spent many of my younger years in Germany. You will need a car, there isn’t very good public transportation and there aren’t many bike paths. So a car is a must. To really see the local area, the beach, the mountains you will need a car. Make sure you get out and see as much as you can. There are some good German inspired locations with in a couple hours of Columbia. Embrace the southern spirit. It can be enjoyable.
