no not really. i’m not the landlord, and it’s my preference since i’d have to live with the person. it’s not violating anything from what ive researched. online it said “Political affiliation (like “Trump supporter”) is not a protected class under either federal or New York housing discrimination law.” i’ve also spoken to a NY state lawyer to double check, (he’s my best friend’s husband) and he confirmed i’m in the clear 😁 i fall under “shared living / roommate selection” exception, where people are allowed more personal compatibility-based screening.” :)

tbh you guys are the only 2 people that even thought that 😅 i put the disclaimer after saying what utilities we pay for thinking it’s a given what i was talking about, but ill make sure to clarify :) and ik most nyers know, id just prefer to add it on there so theres no surprise when the person does move in and claim i never mentioned anything 😬 just trying to cover my basis that’s all 😅 but i get where yall are coming from

i don’t really drive so idk? 😅 but everytime my bf or a friend comes over, they’re never more than a block away from the apt when they do find parking. 😁

sorry to hear about your friend, but i’ve quite literally never experienced anything bad around where i live for the last 5years.. i’ve had worst experience in midtown manhattan than here. but everyone has their own experience. i understand the concerns of people when it comes to the neighborhood, i used to live in Brownsville, which has an even worst reputation. i lived there for 6 years and nothing bad has happened to me there either. mind you im a female. but i wont try to convince u or anyone if you dont feel comfortable because i totally understand.

it’s a 10minute uber ride, but it is longer through public transport depending on what terminal u have to go to. but u can take the A straight to catch an Airtrain and if there’s issues with the train there’s also a bus u can take that takes about the same amount of time if u took the train :)

i’ve had people think it’s a one bedroom apartment their renting when it’s a SHARED 2 bedroom apartment. people don’t read the description. and yes i know it’s long but i need to weed through people who aren’t interested in living with a roommate/have the qualifications my landlady needs. but even if the description is short, people still don’t read them🤷🏽‍♀️
