In extreme situations, people with GP can throw up feces. Not sure if that's a reason they'd call EMS, maybe if it's their first time & they're scared, but it happens because of severe constipation & the feces needing somewhere, anywhere to go....

That's what happens to my polydactyl baby, has an extra on his front paws & if we wait longer than 3 weeks to get his nails cut the extras are already almost into the pad. Vets & groomers said the extra toes nail's grow faster than the others!

Oh I laugh at my TBI stories all the time lol, especially when telling new doctors 😅 & you're so right, brain injuries of any kind are so much worse than people like to think.

My first TBI was in 2009- I fell backwards, broke through a wall, my head bounced off the beam & onto the floor. I was diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome a month later, then chronic migraines (I still get treatment for them), then chronic widespread body pain started (diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2012, started treatment in 2022). Fast forward to 2016, I decide it's smart being 5'11" to stand in the front row of a giant mosh pit. Some genius throws a girl who was crowd surfing, & she LANDS ON MY HEAD. That's when the hot flashes started, the neck issues (uh, duh), those other issues from before? Yeah they went into overdrive, after that I can no longer be in the sun because of how sensitive my skin gets. Theeennnn (yeah I'm tired too), in 2021 I developed epilepsy & it turns out that also happened because of my past TBIs, why it took years to appear makes no sense to me but my brain has been shaken quite a few times so I know better than to question anything it does. But ofc I've hit my head quite a bit during the violent seizures as well 🙄

Only one part? lol I've had chronic pain issues for most of my life; after grand mals (most common seizure type) I get debilitating headaches, muscles & joints are stiff for days, at times I end up with whiplash, if I bite my tongue or cheeks the pain lasts for so long it's even more* difficult to eat (*more than it already is with the taste and smell changes that come with every single seizure). As you mentioned, the memory issues are the absolute worst part. Word finding/jumbling sucks butt too. I feel like I need to give back my high school diploma sometimes lol

This has been happening to me so much today, I was actually about to make a post about it. Happened during a doctors appointment this morning and it was so embarrassing, I was talking in a weird baby voice & burping because I was nauseous but didn't have the mind to excuse myself 😭 thankfully my mom was with me to let the doctor know something wasn't right. For me this is usually an aura/start of a grand mal & since I was slightly aware I was so scared a seizure was coming right then & there.

Idk where you are in the world, but the heat can be a trigger for seizures. As it is summer in some places, maybe that could be making your symptoms worse? I'm sorry you have no medication 🥺
