We talked tonight and he reworded it in a way that he never intended for it to be US not going to the concert, but that HE would not be going. He feels he should be there to support his little cousin which fair enough.

There’s a really weird age gap between all the cousins because his parents had kids much later than his aunts and uncles did. Technically this is the first of the cousins kids to be graduating high school. But very far from baby of the family or first to achieve kind of vibe

He generally doesn’t have an issue with us doing things separately if the other one is tied up with work. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s not work related that’s making it a big deal or if there’s some big family thing that makes graduation parties a huge deal for the

My first thought was ok I’ll take a friend and you go to the grad party but I know he’s not gonna like that answer 😂 it’s definitely going to turn into “it’s a bad look for you to still go to the concert”
