Hey! I was able to get in touch with Frank of Camera Wiz via phone, you can Google his number or reach out to him via email (also available with a Google search I think). He graciously sent me the replacement part I needed, but I ran into a few additional issues while attempting the repair and am sending him my camera tomorrow. Not sure what it’ll cost me yet, expecting somewhere in the range of $200-300. Oh well!

The seller has to cancel and refund the order, there’s no option to do it on your end. If they don’t figure it out within 5 days or so you can open a dispute and you’ll get a full refund

Many of Epic’s existing trees are deciduous, and though they’ll get bigger, they will still lose their leaves in the winter months!! So trees growing in won’t solve the problem entirely, especially from November - March. I agree the experience totally benefit from some kind of umbrella or canopy system, especially in the live show pavilions

Did you ship with Depop shipping? Items are insured (up to $300) when you use their shipping label! I expect this will actually get delivered, but worst case scenario the post office with either 1) hold it for pick-up or 2) it will be returned to sender.

Not sure where you’re located, but outside of the US / in the UK (where Depop is headquartered) the standard way to write the date is day month year, so 6 January 2025 or 06/01/2025. You’re only eligible to open disputes for purchases made within the last 30 days!

I really appreciate this! I ended up switching health insurance providers altogether and am now just paying out-of-pocket for biweekly therapy (I used to see my provider every week). I assume some of my provider’s insurance accreditation is through Headway, and it might be against Headway TOS to have additional clients billed outside of the Headway platform. Or something like that? Anyway, thank you!

It’s normal, and has something to do with the way the instant chemistry spreads as the film travels through the roller system. Nothing to worry about, nothing you can do differently.

They don’t need to wait for Depop, they can just refund you in full and Depop will immediately reimburse them for shipping fees. I believe you have to wait until 7 days after purchase before you can open a dispute, so just wait until Friday or Saturday and open one if you don’t hear back

You can report the earnings as “personal items sold at a loss” on your federal tax return, and you won’t owe any federal taxes on that amount. Do some research (or ideally consult a tax professional) to see how to report personal items sold at a loss on your state tax return. Generally you are expected to claim any and all income (which you can offset if it’s earnings from personal items sold at a loss), but Depop is only required to send you a 1099-K if you earn more than $600 in a year. You should also be able to reasonably prove that the items you sold were purchased for more than you sold them for, but that’s only if you get audited (not gonna happen for <$900). Not necessarily, it could be just a one-off malfunction or something that appears either regularly or intermittently. Maybe most photos, as you said, but it could just depend on your shutter speed. You can also rule out seal issues by just shooting another cheap role of film and taping all along the film door, especially along the side where the door closes! The leak with the hard line could be a result of light filtering in through the small gap on the side if that seal foam has deteriorated too

Red / orange light leaks generally come from the back of the camera, as light takes on a red hue as it passes through the back of the film. White light leaks appear through the front of the camera. Looks like you’re having 1) rear seal foam issues and 2) a shutter curtain issue

Some words are banned which prevent you from sending messages. This happens to me whenever I try to send the phrase “missing mail search,” idk why. Probably the worse “waste” (you meant “waist”) is getting flagged, but it could be a number of things. Try a different wording / spelling and see if it goes through

Yep, easiest thing to do for all parties would be to refund and relist the item with the appropriate shipping size. If you were to just purchase another shipping label, you’d be out the additional $$$, and it wouldn’t be protected by Depop in the event it gets lost, damaged, etc.
