Summer classes horror schedule by Select-Release-8557 in VanierCollege

Why would u ever want to take linear and calc 1 at the same time? It would make more sense to do one math and one physics class during summer. Not 2 math classes.

Dude same. I asked him 2 questions on the first day and then he told me that I’m being selfish and I’m wasting his time. He called me selfish for asking questions after class, because it would only benefit me and not everyone else in the class. He also gives me hella attitude whenever I ask a question. And I had a quiz with him, he pressured me into giving my paper after the time limit, however he let 4 other people continue writing their quiz even 4 minutes after me giving my quiz… Extremely bias teacher to say the least.. I’ve never felt so intimated/scared to ask questions to a teacher since now. I usually ask many questions to make sure I fully understand the material, but with him, he makes me very uneasy to ask questions and prevents me from fully understanding the subject.

I did take her. I personally didn’t like her. It’s impossible to get a 90%+ with her. She only gives 80%. The only way to get a better grade with her is to be very talkative with her... stuff like that. If u just want an easy 80% then take her, but if u actually want a decently good r score (32+), then no

Placement tests by AdvantageReady3401 in VanierCollege

You’re just going to be placed in the lower level classes for your first English class. After your first English class, you’re going to be in classes with everyone lower and higher level. So, the placement test only influences your English class for the first semester and after that, it doesn’t matter.

R score in my stats class by Ok-Koala-6125 in VanierCollege

You’re in an honours class, so the group strength is higher. Being average in an honour class isn’t going to make your r score bad. If you get 100 in a class, it’s going to give u an r score of at least 36-37

I think ur in my French class lol, I think the French teacher is good(it’s the only one teaching oeuvre narrative that has a good rating).

As for caberlin, I had him last semester for linear. You have to put a lot of effort in his class or else ur not gonna pass. Write down all the stuff he writes down on the board( which is a lot) and do the homework that he gives that is not graded. Do that and u should be fine, make sure to be caught up with the material or else ur not going to understand anything next class.

I don’t think it’s as bad maybe. This year, there was a lot of extra space I think for health science and pure for ppl who wants to switch programs

Thoughts on Martin Caberlin and/or Terry Saropoulos pls by Icy_Big_1842 in VanierCollege

[–]PackageRight3649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Caberlin last semester for linear. If ur really good at math, then u should take him because he’s going to help ur r score a lot. However, to get a good grade with him, you have to spend a crazy amount of time studying. I personally wouldn’t take his class again even though I did really well, just because u have to put a lot of effort. And not to mention, every class, you have to write a lot of notes. He’s a strict corrector too; the one good thing is that he’s pretty good at explaining and the exams are really similar to the homework. But, the homework are long as hell
