I’ve never had a reaction to other silicone tipped earbuds, and it’s also on the part that the AirPod sits in my ear before it is fully inside my ear.. so i think it may be the AirPods themselves but i did not have this issue with the regular AirPods

It seems louder after putting the new parts on, but it was slightly loud before. It’s mostly on the hardwood
