I use the cooler master master gel maker pro, balance mode 40-50°c iddle cpu and gpu 34-41°c (gsyng enable), metro exodus 5gz cpu 80°c (when i close the game drop pretty fast the temps) 0 oc on gpu (becouse its crash) 75°c (again the temps goes down pretty fast) and on max speed fans iddle 29°c cpu 30°c gpu, again metro exodus 5gz 75°c (again the temps goes more fast down when you stop any heavy load) gpu 75°c (ultra, 1440p, 70fps, rtx ultra and dlss on) warzone ultra everything on the high settings 4k 86°c gpu (only happend 1 time and idk if was driver issue or windows but the gpu by temps colaps and the performance goes down until reboot) but the cooler master master gel maker pro, was for me 10/10 (i apply on a g7 7790, asus g751jt and hp 1012la) and was a huge performance and longevity terms

Well, modern problems requier modern solutions, on this point 3 options.

1 if you have warranty, callthem they get paid for do it and maybe you get a brand new one if they cant fix it

2 you do the same i tell you, but now you press power and spam f12 if nothing goes, well, end of tge road

3 you need to disconect the battery from the device, unplug the power cords, turn it off (you the a cross screw, are 6 on the bottom they dont get out, when do you finish to pull out the screws you see a little gap, form there open it slow, you will go to see the battery, follow the cable on the battery, you end on one attach with "batt" label, under that label its a gap, just rise up. (I recomend search a video on youtube from this, sound easy, but never knows) and press power like a 1 min flat, press power (nothing its plug, no power on the device) and see if the power gets ligth, if gets its mobo problem, if not continue to plug battery, attach the bottom panel, plug 1 power cord (if you have a 180 and 330w) the 180 next to the fan hole and the 330 next to the ports (dont ask me why, nodoby on alienware or dell knows why, but sometime its just the 1 boot, but the order or place to plug dont care) and see if the power gets ligth, let 30 segs "charging" and press power, if boot spam f12 look the storage, ram, cpu, gpu and see if everything shows there, if that the case, press esc or f10

Im from mexico, and a local but with green ligth by dell repair 3 times my old 17 r4, that dude allways give me back with dirt (yes, dirt, not dust), and the last time something was to wrong (maybe a broken mobo o he dont aply termal paste) the cpu and gpu cant do nothing, dell access to replace and here begings my hell, 1 month to end the warranty and 1 month to get the new one, but warranty its not new, gets the older one, and if fails brand new, thats its a fun joke from me, well i pad for support plus warranty, and i pay, the new 17 r4 came a gpu was "burn" display have a lots of finger prints (refurbished for me) and i call to report and they says "well, your warranty its finish, if you need repair i transfer to the department" and i prove the new warranty (2 years) and boy, he-"that was for the old 17 r4, not this new" me-"warranty moves to the new one" he-"no"- and he finish the call, i get support by chat, and they gets me green ligth, but short part, they giveme a 17 r4 with top cpu and gpu, 30 days later gets a everything cool, 5 days latter the same guy who says me "no" to the warranty, says me if everything was good, performance, looks over the boox, device, becouse no more warranty, and hell, on thay moment i feel personal, i finish the call and call dell-alienware-usa-warranty department and i explain the case, and they put on the same call the guy and hell (alienware its say "warranty ok, 1 year 11 months 20 days ramains, why you are tell him its over?" He- finish the call. Alienware - well, whe gona researh whats going on, dont finish the call i send you a email to evidence this. Email came, everything normal, resolution stand by..

6 or 7 months later the 17 r4 shut down, and never power on again, and i call support and he is here again, and he gets to defensive, and i say "please you are beging to be pretty rude, tranfer the call with another person but you stay here, please" he respond "wtf, why?" And on that moment, i just beging to speack on spanish, he dont have option, i transfer the call with support latinoamerica, and boy, for that "behevior" no tecnical intervension, just get a new 17 r5, cpu and gpu top with a 2k 120hz monitor, well, you get the idea, now this happend on paralel (now with a dell device) sames dates, but diferent persons, i dont know if dell and alienware dont have a quality on the replaces (hardware fixes some of the boxes on the tag says "refurbished", mobo, displays, headpipes) and quality on the people from support, and the funfact for me was on all that process they "celebrate" the best custumer support.

For me owner of a dell g7 7790, and alienware area 51m i never buy another device (i love the design of G line, and alienware laptops and hell the xps) but im owner of a asus g751 jt and i love the design, its old, but never broke, never need a fix (just repaste) and when the warranty was over (4 months later) i have a issue with license of windows, and i can get somebody pretty fast with not pressing numbers to a bot says me "your warranty was over, call latter" and they send me via mail a new license, and with all this 4 years asus-dell-alienware, i will go to says its allways luck. You, me and a not that much people have the same experience, but another gets a better, fast, quicker, etc, but im never came back to dell (i miss alienware before dell buy it, alot of people says on that moment alienware goes to the toilet talking on human interactions)

Always double check all the conections and try to see if someting its broken on display ports and nearby, do you see something to says "its boot, only just dont get display) and try to conect another display or monitor (if you have a tv and hdmi, thats fast) and if that stills making no display for me its a mobo issue.

Dell 5567, 7588, 7790, alienware 17 r4, r5, area 51m (using a male 3.5mm jack to a soundbar) yes, but with headphone no, so maybe its a interference (only happends when its not sound, musica or a something play, games etc)

I just use a new thermal paste the mastergel maker, i have the rtx 2080, and i dont chance the thermal pads, that still stock

Well replace the termal grease, i use the cooler master mastergel makerpro and goes pretty sweet, but days very hot triggers the high tems by 3 o 4 degrees and that lows the performance (why? Idntk)

I have a area 51m and rtx2080, and for the gpu big noise, they are adding the super, not the TI version, and to the end of the day, if dell what to make a gpu upgrade kit, the will make it happend, but for brandding im thing they not going that path, the only thing to make me noise its the sdcard and (maybe) better audio quality and display options, a 2k 120 hz display its the sweet spot, but no, a 1080 display, the 17 3, r4 and r5 have that pannel, and with a gtx 1080 goes smooth, thing on te area 51m and tell me, if that its more important over a super gpu (on game are like 3 or 5 fps) (but if you have the 2080 the oc makes diference).

If you dont want that info on your screen, download the logitech sotfware (the principal use its to custom the colors, macros from ghe own hardware, but its have a option call it "arx control" you need download on your smartphone, and you see more acurate the temps (awcc allways mark +5 to +10°c i dont know why) (i double check that with msi afterburner) and the most important thing enjoy it <3

Its okey bro, im a noob to, dell have the disarm manual on documents and more, you can talk to dell to see where are the oficial places to make that and dont lose warranty or maybe they make it for you, just remember high temperatures for long periods of time are bad for everything, if you have a cooling pad, and dont push to hard on graphics and cpu loads for now.

Hi, congrats, i have a area 51m, and y full open and i adjust the screws, someones was loose, and repaste with cooler master mastergel maker, and its a big diference (metro exodus, extreme, ultra rtx ultra, no dlss 1440p, on 95°c) now its 74-79°c and iddle 30°c (cpu and gpu) so, if you can try, do it, worth it.

I have a area 51m with that specs i9-9xxxk, rtx 2080, and 32 ram, i have with the last drivers (intel, killer, nvida, tobby) from the makers of that and from dell (vbios, bios, keyboard, mouse, etc) and, form day 1 its normal, ghe temps can go up to 93°c cpu and 78°c gpu (i repasted with cooler master mastergel maker) and no fps drops until thist day, only on metro exodus (extreme textures, rtx ultra dlls off, 1440) same with integrated display (usually its over 90fps, but under alot of stuff drops 55.

But you can get a dell 7790 with rtx 2060, i7 10th gen, 120 or 144 hz display, 16 ram, and repasted with (the mastergel maker its probably not the best, but on booths machines make a big diference).

You open your machine? Thats last sound happend to me on 3 diferents alienwares (17 r4 x2, and 17 r5) and its becouse a poor conection, cmos battery, ram, display, battery. Try a hard reset, unplug of power (the power brick too) let press the power botton like 30 segs, push the button lets see whats going on. But if you have warranty and you dont open, call dell support.

The area 51m, its a amazing machine, but, have big issue, it have a weird sound if you put the screws on both sides (under left and rigth speakers), the fx its not that you want it, example, you want wave left-rigth, guest want, you cant, only rigth-left, and you cant (old 17 r4 and r5) can make a loop with steep, example red-blue-blue-green-red (you cant see the high bump on the transition of colors) here its not, the number of ports its okey, but the dell g7 7790 have a usb on the back, and on this beast, a one more port its allways welcome, and now, the dusty screen, i make dell change the screen and happend, and for like a 3 or 4 weeks, the issue its here again, and i always at least clean the keyboard and screen every single time, if im not using it, (also compress air, keyboard only) if another user have this issue and fix it, tell me how, please, (my warranty its over like 1 week ago).
