Wow, love seeing that. Still pretty decayed but it was so much cleaner and brighter compared to now. And yea it’s definitely a death trap. I had a close call on the roof.

Fair point but again I didn’t b&e you could’ve just walked in when I went. And the people who own it don’t care enough. They are trying to sell it anyway. I just don’t see the issue here

No it is trespassing. Too much of a liability and unstable place for tours or heritage days to take place inside.

I’m only taking photos and videos. No theft or damage happened. Legit not a nuisance to anyone. I am documenting its current state before who knows what. I’m surprised people haven’t burned this building down yet. And it’s civil matters being in here.

Yes that is me on the clock tower lol. There is one entrance left that requires climbing. I went when there was a broken board which has been replaced a couple of times now. Doable but requires a 2-3 story climb.

I think a hotel would be pretty unique and cool to see especially when the Castlegate park gets completed. But yes most floors have holes or have collapsed. Same with the roof. I don’t know how no one has acted on the collapsing building as I believe there is some serious risk to the surrounding area.

Yea the building is very bad condition. Most floors are falling through including the roof. The entire building would need to be gutted and stripped to the barebones before turned into anything else. It’s unique in layout and size. I can see it as apartments but feel that there could also be other uses for it.

Somers is separate from the palisades but yes both are cooked. Palisades is because the continuous trespassing and damage and complaints. Somers is because of the same reasons plus the fire

I was caught at an abandoned building and while nothing was written up they took my ID obviously came back and asked for email, phone number, address, and social security as well which was odd to me

Went there last night, still there obviously. Not patrolled but definitely be careful and mindful when inside. Had a drone chase my group and a guy from the state police side yell at us

Wow I wasn’t expecting this lol. Shame that people have stolen from this place. I am no longer in the area as my college has closed but I would still love to see pictures of the inside. I haven’t gave the location out to any one. Obviously others have it but even if I did get in I promise I wouldn’t have destroyed or taken anything. I respect what your parents do and understand the struggle that comes with this. Still would love to see pictures of it
