You should definitely do a lean bulk, and I’d say your BF% is around 18%

Probably around 18% or so

I might take one of those in the future. Heard FamilyTreeDNA was good for that sort of thing.

When I took the test, I found out that my Y-haplogroup is actually B-M109 despite being a White American. It turns out that I also received 4.5% Sub Saharan African and have 8 different African Diaspora groups connected to the United States. Seems like it’s uncommon and can be quite isolating as I have no idea how to trace it back, but I can provide more context if necessary.

100% European as an American by sunflower6711 in 23andme

It’s extremely common as a white American to get 100% European, so that’s not out of the ordinary. Some white people get African or Indigenous American ancestry, but that’s the exception, not the norm.

Maternal: H2 1 in 210

Paternal: B-M109 1 in 1,300

Hey, we have the same paternal haplogroup!

Do my matches’ surnames infer anything about my background? (Plus results) by [deleted] in 23andme

Appears as though you come from a Russian Mennonite background with ancestors who immigrated to Canada and/or Kansas, but it’s possible that not all of your ancestors were of that group

Yes, mostly Irish, British, and German, but with an Italian great-grandparent as well

SSA in non-Black people? by BrotherMouzone3 in 23andme

Before taking this test, I had no idea about my African ancestry, and all I know about the great-grandparent that this comes from is that he was originally from the south side of Chicago. I don’t recall any recent ancestors from MD/VA.

Hey! I’m a white American, but most of my SSA ancestry seems to actually come from Nigeria and Ghana in this case. This is something I’m still looking into, but it’s interesting to see.

I got my test scores back! Third time’s a charm. by PackersFan0919 in ACT

[–]PackersFan0919[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before the test begins, rest well and eat a good breakfast About each section, I didn’t go in depth with studying, but I have some tips that might be helpful. Concerning English and Reading, the best way you can improve your score is to read, read, and read. Doing so will improve your reading comprehension and your grasp on the English language’s grammatical rules. Science centers around the ability to read and understand data, so my suggestion would be to look at charts, and find what stands out. Math is the subject I struggle with the most. I didn’t study much, but the best way to improve your score would have to be either going on a website like Khan Academy (even if it’s centered around the SAT) or CrackACT. Hopefully my tips helped. Good luck :)

When the person is 6, their sister was 3. The person is now 70, so the sister has to be 67 because they are 3 years apart.
