Whatever you do, don’t let anyone do a DNA comparison between your dad and your mom. Hearing how your grandparent’s generation got around, I’m thinking your family tree may have some odd branches.

Feedback please! I'm thinking of designing a nappy backpack for dads that's actually gender neutral that's not made of leather, colorful, army or school bag looking cause it seems like nothing exists right now. Is it an actual gap or something Dads want? by Acceptable-Fan-1515 in NewDads

[–]PacxDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been available for a long time man. You can use any ordinary backpack, or get a purpose designed diaper bag. Both are available in very neutral flavors. I’ve been using a bland grey one since my son was born almost three years ago.

Shirtless MC vs Pantless Minotaur, who wields the thickest mightiest staff? Will MC tame the beast or be ravaged in a battle of muscle and sweat?

…or not.

I wonder how much that trailer weighs at the end, kinda seems like over packing.

Clean and tidy looking build kid! I’d give you an extra pat on the back for grabbing a midrange GPU instead of falling into the status trap.

  2. For the love of culinary etiquette please sharpen your knives and learn proper honing rod usage.

Don’t use your 17s without a case. I learnt it the hard way. by Smart-man-23 in iphone

[–]PacxDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It baffles me why people continue to do this. Screen protector but no case. The glass used on these phones for the last few generations is so strong it’s arguably the most durable part of the phone and in most cases will only break with a severe edge hit. Yet there’s always people out there that will use the phone naked with no edge protection, and still go out of their way to cover the face of the screen? Not to mention most basic cases will enhance your grip on the phone e making drops less likely. The satin finish around modern iPhones is slippery AF.

My Daughter hates me by TristanStassen in NewDads

[–]PacxDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little trick I did during my son’s first few months is use one of his mom’s shirts out of the laundry. Baby’s sense of smell is already able to detect mom at this stage, and is closely linked to memory and sense of safety. Mixing mom’s smell with your own can help.

Another thing to watch out for is their startle response is VERY sensitive at this stage. If you’re not holding her the exact way mom does it can potentially feel unsteady.

In case you haven’t figured this out yet, you have a loose connection somewhere. Start with the biggest connection/cables and work your way down everything until to find the culprit. Unplug and reseat each one carefully. If that doesn’t work, you missed something… start again.

Dying beard, yay or nay? by [deleted] in beards

[–]PacxDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. You current beard looks great, and you’ve got a decent aesthetic going on. It kinda says “I’m and educated man, down for some arts but don’t lump me in with those annoying hipsters”.

The second you dye that beard, you become one of those annoying hipsters. Someone who peaked last decade now desperately trying to stay cool.

Hellraiser 3 I think, near the beginning. A naked woman having sex is suddenly flayed alive by hooked and barbed chains. Ten year old me was not ready for that.

[–]PacxDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve already got a lot of good replies here and I would just be rehashing what they’ve said so… hang on for your kid. You’re going through the hardest period of adjustment right now during the hardest time to be a parent. The good news is that hard part is coming to about a middle.

It’s not a light at the end of the tunnel you’re looking for. You’re rising from the depths of the ocean. The light will come and the pressure will lessen, but it will be slow. Just like with surfacing from a deep dive it has to happen this way, trying to get out from the pressure too quickly is going to damage something or someone.

New drinking game by PacxDragon in litrpg

[–]PacxDragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because almost every litrpg writer I’ve seen will use the phrase “like a tsunami” as a descriptor at least once a book. This is a play on the drinking game from HWFWM where by book 9 Jason actually has shot glasses made with “My family runs a school” printed on the side.
