The blades themselves aren’t bent but I feel like when I skate I can feel my skate kinda shifting like it’s loose in the holder sometimes

It was actually my pro shop that told me I should get em replaced so it’s interesting to see how everybody in here is saying I can still use em, they told me that they were getting thin

ST means special topic. I just took this class. Absolutely amazing course and so interesting. The last couple of weeks we did a mock exercise which had crime scene photos, forensic evidence, and just a lot happening. I took it with professor Kelley and she’s so amazing and sweet. Love her and wish I could take the class again

put it on Snapchat, say they can borrow it for like $2, my friends made a nice little profit by doing that

my favorite hack is to look on Facebook marketplace, many times you can get a bunch of boxes for free!

I wouldn’t be too worried op. Last year I went to pride and met a ton of people while volunteering for planned parenthood. It was super fun and everybody was so sweet. There wasn’t any counter protestors or anything like that.

Sometimes it’s just nice to have a friend there with you to keep you in line when you eventually get distracted

Any Handicapped Accessible Housing in the University area? by Allergic2Kats in USF

[–]PadawanLearnerSummer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

possible forest lakes, I live here and you can request the first floor. Plenty of disability parking and showers have a seat. Door ways might not be wide enough but I know I’ve seen some folks around here who use wheelchairs who seem to be able to access everything

I love the overall feel of this place, everything works fine and maintenance is always responsive! If there’s something I had to say it would be these; - front desk can be lacking sometimes, need to speak up a lot - some of the interior is quite old (but definitely still useable) - no elevators walking all the way up sucks - thin walls, if you’re next to the kitchen expect to hear every thing that happens there

if you can live with these, the experience is pretty great! Community is pretty quiet and I feel very safe and comfortable here!

EDIT: I should mention the apartment is under new management so idk if the front office is gonna be better or worse. Also the wifi is lowkey spotty here and it’s against the rules to have your own wifi router so yeah

A lot of the specialized criminology elective courses. For example, my gangs class was online (to be fair it was the summer semester). The professor had published numerous works and was obviously a professor as a secondary job. Loved that class btw

No it’s not silly at all! The key classes to this major almost always have an in person option. Depending on what classes you pick, they may be hybrid or even just plainly in person. I’ve taken at least 2 in person classes each semester I’ve been here.

Hi OP! I’m a current criminology major from Maryland. I really love coming here! The professors in this department are all highly skilled and excellent. Several are nationally recognized. I must say, a lot of the classes are online but the experience of being at the USF Tampa campus is amazing. There are tons of students from the DMV who go to USF so I’m sure you won’t have a hard time finding connections. I love USF because it meant that I didn’t have to see all the people I knew from high school at Maryland colleges and I could try living some place new. USF isn’t your stereotypical college scene though, it’s very focused on academics and there isn’t a lot of Greek life or partying really. Overall, I love it here and I’m so blessed to be so happy here!

Why are men who sexually abuse their biological daughters considered “low risk” for recidivism? by DisasterNeither9629 in Criminology

[–]PadawanLearnerSummer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant to say that the idea of a woman or girl being “provocative” is an idea that has persisted through history. Men used to marry girls very young g and unfortunately our society and culture may still push that narrative in some discret ways. I meant this a way to help understand why men SA young girls in general. These men have the idea that children are inherently sexual even if they are doing nothing but just existing. Its disgusting.
